Manhattan Mission Center Dedication

The dedication ceremony for the Manhattan Mission Center (MMC) was held on May 4, 2014 with eighty people in attendance. Following the Gospel command “to make disciple of all nations,” Manhattan was chosen as the site of the Mission Center because it is the epicenter of the country and the world. Here, peoples, nations and cultures meld to provide rich soil to proclaim the Gospel, saves souls and expand the Kingdom of God.

Pastor Kang in her opening day exhortation encouraged all to see MMC as a new “epicenter” to share the Gospel. Like Jerusalem in the Old Testament, New York is a new place where the world can be turned upside down by the preaching of the Gospel. She encourage us to make it a holy place where the name of Jesus dwells and through His blood and the power of the Holy Spirit, we can testify the Gospel with our lives and expand the Kingdom of God to the ends of the earth.

The MMC located at the heart of New York City, across from the Empire State Building will be used for Bible study, regional group meetings, an evangelism center and a place of prayer. Pastor Jo Kim will lead the efforts to develop and expand this new ministry and work towards planting a Church in New York City.
