The Head of The Church

Our God is the Lord(Ps 104:24).
He is the beginning of all things(Jn 1:2) and
He is the Head of every power and authority(Rm 13:1; Col 2:10).

Faith is acknowledging Him and being governed by Him.

The life of this faith is about filling up in flesh what is still lacking in regard to Christ’s afflictions for the sake of His body, the church(Col 1:24).

While head and body have different forms and functions,
They have the same essence, status and direction of action;
Thus, they cannot be thought of as separate.
They share the same suffering and the same glory.
They die together and live together.

Deceived by Satan, i.e., the devil, who
Denied the Head in heaven(Is 14:12-15),
Adam listened to his wife who wanted to be like God, and sinned.
As a result, they were banished from the Garden(Ge 3:4-6).

Abram was instructed by God and left his country(Ge 12:14),
Receiving the covenant of “I will be your God and the God of your descendents”(Ge 17:7).

God went ahead of his descendents, the Israelites(Ex 13:20-21).
They followed the pillar of clouds and the pillar of fire and
Crossed the Red Sea and went to the desert.
They followed the ark and crossed the Jordan and entered Canaan(Jos 3:15-16).

The sanctuary where the ark was
Reminded them that God is their Lord(1Ki 8:23).

Jesus said, “Destroy the temple and I will raise it in three days”(Jn 2:19-21), because
Through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body,
He would become the Head of every power and authority, for
He is the Word in the beginning that made all things(Jn 1:1, 10) who
Came to destroy the prince of the world and save the world(Jn 12:31, 47).

As He died, He said, “It is finished”(Jn 19:30), declaring that He:
1. Died according to the command and acknowledged that the Father is His head(Jn 10:18; 1Co 11:3);
2. Judged the devil who denied the Head(Jn 12:31); and
3. With His blood, purchased souls who had been slaves of the devil(He 2:15; Rev 5:9).
Jesus rose from the dead and became the Ruler of the kings of the earth(Rev 1:5).
He sat on the throne and became the Head of every power and authority(Col 2:10).

The Holy Spirit came with the name of Jesus and
Testifies that Jesus is the Lord, the Head of the church(Eph 1:22-23),
The church is the body of Christ and
Saints are members of His body(Eph 5:30).

The people of the Spirit are
Faithful till death to the church whose head is Jesus.
With the church, they go through poverty, suffering, persecution and even glory.
With the church, they preach and pray to live the same life as Jesus, so that
As the Head Jesus became the firstfruit of resurrection(1Co 15:20),
They hope to also become the firstfruit of resurrection by
Remaining attached to His body the church(1Co 15:23; Rev 20:4-5).

O Lord,
For Jesus! For the Lord! For the church!
Thank You for giving me the church that is worth
My sweat, tears, treasures and blood.
Let no one use the church, but rather
Let us all be used by the church! Amen.
