Boast in Jesus

God is the Lord of glory(Ps 19:1).
Glory comes from Him(Jn 1:14), and
All glories return to Him(Rm 11:36).

Faith is having pride through His glory and
The life of this faith is about boasting in the Lord in order to enter His glory.

It is human nature to want to boast.
While the toil of man is for sources of boast,
The happiness of man is determined by having such or not.

Though the archangel was given beauty and talents(Ez 28:12-13) to give all glories to God,
He became proud and challenged the throne of God(Is 14:11-15).
Consequently, God threw him into Hades where
He was eternally made a spectacle(Ez 28:17) and
Shamefully called Satan(Rev 12:9).

Deceived by him, Adam sinned and
All men became destined to suffer in eternal shame and pain(Rm 5:12).

While the Israelites were in dishonor as slaves in Egypt for 430 years,
God called them(Ex 3:10) and made them His holy people(Ex 19:6).

Furthermore, according to the Law
They made good impressions outwardly through circumcision(Ex 12:48; Gal 6:12).

Therefore, the sanctuary which reminded them this was their pride.

Jesus said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days”(Jn 2:19-21), because
Through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body,
He would take away all men’s shame and clothe them with pride(Ge 3:21) by
Becoming a ransom for them(Mt 20:28).

Though in flesh, He had no beauty of majesty, nothing to boast,
He is, however, the very nature God that became flesh(Php 2:6),
The glory of the Only Begotten Son(Jn 1:1, 14)

Without refusing the shameful cross,
He said, “It is finished” and died(Jn 19:30) for He:
Laid down His life for the glory set before Him(Jn 10:17-18; He 12:2);
Condemned the devil who tried to steal the glory of God(Is 14:12-15); and
Consumed all men’s shame, i.e., their sin, onto His body and shed His blood to redeem them(Eph 2:16).

The Father raised Him up and sat Him on the throne,
Giving Him the name Yeshua forever(Php 2:9-11) for
He is God’s boast, pride and ego.

The Holy Spirit whom He sent comes in the name Yeshua and
Lets souls boast in the Lord.

The man of the Spirit honestly confesses that he has nothing to boast.
Therefore, he zealously boasts about:
The name Yeshua and His works(Jer 4:2; Ps 20:7; Eph 2:6-8);
His worth – a man who became alive by the redemption of Christ – ransom < sinner < man < God(Mt 20:28; 1Pe 1:18-19; 1Co 3:23); and
His weaknesses(2Co 11:30, 12:5-10),
In order that he may boast on the day of Christ(Php 2:16).

O Lord,
Thank You for calling me
While I was weak, broken and poor, and
Giving me this proud name, Yeshua!
Thank You for turning my foolishness, weakness and lowliness
Into reasons for boasting in the Lord!
I will boast all the more! Amen.
