Whatever You Did for One of the Least

God is the God who rewards (Ge15:1).
He sees what is done in secret (Mt6:6), and
For what He speaks He certainly acts (Nu23:19)
He rewards the righteous with eternal life and the wicked with eternal punishment (Mt25:46).

Faith is completely acknowledging Him and
This life of faith is looking after others for the Lord, for one’s own soul.

Deceived by the devil, Adam and Eve put their eyes on the forbidden fruit (Ge3:4-6) and
Forgetting the eyes of God, sinned.
However, after confessing that they could not hide from God’s eyes
They were clothed with garments of skin (Ge3:21).

Though Cain killed his brother out in a field where there was not anyone (Ge4:8-14),
Once he replied that he could not hide from God he confessed to Him and
Thus received a mark of salvation.

The exodus of Israel was possible
Not only because of Moses’ love for his own people by flesh and blood,
But also because of God’s persuasion (Ex3:6-12, 4:17).

The commandment God gave the people in the desert (Ex20:3-17) was
To love God with all their strength (Dt6:5) and
To love their neighbors by not harming them (Ex21:1-36, 22:1-31, 23:11; Lev19:18).
Their reward was to be prosperous on earth and live a long life (Dt5:33).

The sanctuary where the stone tablets were placed inside the testimony
Reminded them of this promise.

Yeshua said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days” (Jn2:19), because
Through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body,
He would tear down the promise of a long prosperous life on earth and
Make a new promise of the reward of eternal life in heaven for
He came as the good news to the poor, the sick and the prisoners (Lk4:17-19).
However, because of what He said about the temple and
Because He exposed the hypocrisy of those who did good work to be praised by others (Mt6:2-4),
He was hated and handed over to death.

As He died along with the thieves, He said, “It is finished” (Jn19:30), declaring that He:
1) Glorified the Father who would reward His death with resurrection (Jn10:18; Php2:11);
2) Judged the devil who attempted to steal glory (Is14:12-15; 1Jn3:8); and
3) Bore the burden of sin in His body and was rewarded with them (1Pe2:24; Rev5:9).

The Father raised Him and
Yeshua ascended to the heavenly throne.

The Holy Spirit whom He sent came and
The gospel spread quickly in spite of the persecution for
Before the many wonders and signs in the name Yeshua (Ac2:43-47)
The believers surrendered their possessions and shared with one another (Ac4:32-35), and
They were praised for their deeds by the people.

The true Christian is he who
Not only testifies to whomever the gospel to save souls (Ac16:30; 1Pe1:9),
But also feeds the hungry, invites the stranger in, clothes those in need,
Looks after the sick and the imprisoned (Mt25:30-46) for
He knows that whatever he does to one of the least of them is
For the Lord Yeshua, that is, for his own soul as
He believes that when the Lord returns with the royal authority
He will judge according to his deeds and reward him with eternal life.

O Lord,
Now that we know what “for my soul” is
Let us love not only in words but also with actions and in truth (1Jn3:18).
Let us look after one another with love and good deeds (He10:24) and
Bear the fruit of souls. Amen.
