All Priesthood
(1Pe2:1-11)

God is to be served (Dt6:13; Rev1:6).
He created all things and is their Owner (Eph3:9), and
He lets His faithful servants serve before His throne (Rev7:15, 22:3).

Faith is longing for Him and
The life of this faith is serving Him gloriously on earth until serving Him in heaven.

Serving refers to what
A son does to his father, a servant to his master,
A people to their king and a priest to God.
For the lowly attends and ministers the one above

Since deceived by the devil
Adam, the ancestor of all men, made in the image of God (Ge1:26), sinned and was
Banished from the Garden, losing the chance to serve God (Ge3:24).

God sent Moses into Egypt where the Israelites were serving the pharaoh
To bring them out of their slavery and become a kingdom of priests serving God (Ex19:6).

In the desert, God gave them the law, the regulations for serving God (He9:1):
1) Building the sanctuary (Ex25-26);
2) Giving offerings (Lev1:1-3)
3) Appointing priests and their duties (Ex28-29).

The steps for consecrating priests (Ex29:1-27) involved:
Selecting them from the Levites and from Aaron’s sons;
Washed with water and dressed in sacred garments;
Anointed with oil and sprinkled with blood, being consecrated for 7 days.

While they were anointed with the special privilege to:
1) Meet with God (Ex29:42);
2) Speak with God (Ex29:42); and
3) Eat the sacred food offered to God (Ex29:32),

They had two major weaknesses:
Because of their own sin and death they could not continue their service (He7:23, 27).

When Yeshua said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days” (Jn2:19),
He was despised by the high priest Caiaphas and eventually passed over to death (Mt26:57-68).
However, through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body,
He would give the perfect service to the Father.

As He died, the temple veil tore in half (Mt27:51), and
He said, “It is finished” (Jn19:30), declaring that He:
1) Tore His flesh the veil, carried His own eternal blood and entered the heavenly sanctuary
once for all, becoming the eternal High Priest (He7:25, 8:1-2, 9:24, 10:20);
2) Condemned the devil who attempted to serve himself rather than serve God (Is14:12-15; 1Jn3:8); and
3) Through the torn veil and shed blood made a way for all men to come by His blood to serve the living God (He9:11-14, 10:19-20).

The Father raised Him and seated Him on the heavenly throne from where
He eternally serves the Father (Php2:9-11).

The Holy Spirit whom He sent
Lets whosoever received the blood of Yeshua in their hearts (He9:14)
Serve God as a holy priesthood (1Pe2:5).

Since it is with the blood sacrifice begins and ends,
As only the blood enters the Most Holy Place (Lev16:14),
The qualification and the result of serving is only the blood.
The Christian, therefore, succeeds in worship and service for
He only thinks of the blood of Yeshua and testifies (Rev12:11), as
He longs for the day when he could see the face of the Lamb and
Serve Him forever (Rev22:1, 3-4).

O Lord,
We almost forgot this most important thing — the blood of Yeshua!
Wipe out from all Your memory
Our past, sin, death, and even our own service and
Let only the blood of Yeshua remain!
Amen.
