The Time of My Soul
(2Co6:1-13)

God is eternal (Ps90:2; Neh9:5).
He is eternal in His existence and attribute, and
His word is also eternal (1Pe1:24-25).

Faith is longing for eternity (Ecc3:11) and
The life of this faith is exchanging the time of my soul with eternity.

For all things under the heavens have their time limit
All flesh is like grass and their glory is like the flowers of the field,
The grass withers and the flowers fall.
Thus all those who toil for such will find vanity in the end (Ecc1:1-11, 2:17-23),
While those who toil for the time of their souls will
See the light of life and be satisfied on the day when they leave dust (Ps119:28; Is53:11).

Although Adam was the spiritual being in the flesh that was to live by the word of God (Ge2:17),
He was deceived by the devil and sinned wanting to be like God (Ge3:4-6).
Consequently, his spirit died and his flesh, after toiling all his life, would return to dust (Ge3:19).

Over a night, the Israelites left Egypt where they had been enslaved for 400 years (Ex12:41) for
The time that God had prophesied to their ancestor Abraham had arrived (Ge15:13-14).

The sanctuary where the name of Jehovah,
The God of Abraham, of Issac and Jacob (Ex3:14-15) was
Reminded them of God’s eternity and the promise of their longevity (Dt30:20),
As well as letting them seek the wisdom to number their days and
Not let their troubled days become meaningless (Ps90:1-15).

Yeshua said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days” (Jn2:19), because
Through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body,
He would go to the Father’s house ahead and lead the souls of men to eternity (Jn14:1-3)
So that their toils of men do not become meaningless.
As such, the very nature God became the Son of Man (Mt20:28; Jn1:1, 14).

As He died, He said, “It is finished” (Jn19:30), declaring that He:
1) Fulfilled in His flesh the principle of time limit for all things under the heavens (Ecc3:1)
through His toil and death, and commended His spirit to the eternal Father (Lk23:46);
2) Judged the devil who changed (Ge3:4-6; Is14:13-15); and
3) With the redeeming blood gave a chance for souls to live (Jn6:54-57; Eph1:7).

His resurrection and throne in heaven are
The fruit of His toils in the time of His soul (Is53:11).

The Holy Spirit was sent to testify Yeshua and
Lets those who received make their flesh the time of their souls to:
1) Repent, be saved and be born again as God’s children (Lk16:22-31, 23:42-43; 2Co6:2);
2) Grow in the knowledge of knowing the truth and the character to become His heirs (Eph4:13-14; 2Pe3:18);
3) Toil, suffer and sow (Ps126:5-6; Rm8:16-17; 2Co6:4-5; Col1:24).

The man of the Spirit is
The wise who lives one day at a time called, “this day” (Ps90:12; Mt6:33-34),
While the foolish plans ahead many years which he does not have (Lk12:19-20).
Since the day called “this day” may never come again
He prioritizes the work of exchanging his time, material and talent with eternity (Mt4:18-22, 13:44)
For he longs to enter eternity in the last day.

O Lord,
Rather than the foolish who does not know how to number his days
Those on death row seem more truthful.
Let us not ignore the truth of having death suddenly knocking on our doors.
Let us live each day worthwhile in Your eyes! Amen.
