Possess the Testimony About the Lord
(2Ti1:3-14)

God is the true living God (Jn17:3; He9:14).
He cannot be seen but He exists and
He Himself testifies that He is living (He1:1).

Faith is receiving His testimony and
The life of this faith is about testifying by experiencing Him.

While religion is man’s effort to approach the transcendent and
Philosophy implies that the divine existence is man’s existence,
Ultimately they can only arrive in nihilism, polytheism etc and not achieve truly knowing the divine.

On the other hand, the Bible clearly illustrates how
The living God testified Himself many times in various ways (He1:1) by:
Setting the heavens and the earth that He created as His witnesses (Dt30:19);
Giving the rainbow as a sign of His covenant (Ge9:12-13);
A great cloud of witnesses (He12:1);
Abraham who had a son at the age of 100; and
The Israelites who put the blood of lamb on their door frames as a sign and
Death passed them over (Ex12:13) and they escaped their slavery of 430 years in Egypt.

The sanctuary which God commanded them to build was
Also called the tent of the testimony (Nu17:7) for
The ark of the testimony was placed there with
The tables of the testimony which God Himself wrote and Moses delivered (Ex31:18, 34:29) and
The vase with manna which testified how they survived the desert for 40 years (Ex16:32-34, 25:21).
Also that was where the name of Jehovah was (2Ch6:5).
Putting it before them they crossed the Jordan like dry land and
Entered Canaan (Jos4:5-7; Nu10:11-12).

God’s prophecy of making a witness to the peoples,
The appearance of a ruler and commander of the peoples and
The advancement of His nation was fulfilled (Is55:3-5) when
Yeshua Christ and His kingdom of heaven came near (Mt3:2).

He said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days” (Jn2:19), because
Through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body,
He would testify not the name Jehovah but the name Yeshua.
The three years of His public life was not about
Making an exposition of his ideology or precepts (Lk13:32)
But rather doing the works of power and signs in the Father’s name (Jn10:25).
As such, He did not receive testimony from man (Jn2:23-25, 5:34) but
He was testified by the Father, the Holy Spirit, the Scriptures and
The Prophets (Jn5:39, 8:8, 15:26; Ac10:43).

As He died, He said, “It is finished” (Jn19:30), declaring that He:
1) Laid down His life and testified that the Father is living (Jn10:17-18);
2) Condemned the false god the devil (Ge3:4-6; 1Jn3:8); and
3) With His blood fulfilled the prophets’ testimony about the forgiveness of sin (Ac10:43; Eph1:7).

His resurrection let the disciples witness for themselves that
He rose back to life (Jn20:26-28) and
Given as a proof to all to believe (Ac17:31).

The Holy Spirit, the Spirit of testimony, came to
Those who received the name Yeshua and
Lets them experience through
Speaking in tongues, healing, laying of the hand and prayers (Mk16:17-18; Ac2:1-4)
The forgiveness of sin, the truth, the right of becoming children of God (He2:3-4).

The man of the Spirit becomes a witness (martus) of
The resurrection of Yeshua, of Yeshua Christ and the only true God (Mt16:16; Jn17:3; Ac4:12).
Therefore, he overcomes any suffering or temptation (2Ti1:8) for
Through one kind of experience
He becomes a witness of the entire Bible,
A witness of the Word in the beginning, the beginning itself (Jn1:1, 14).

O Lord,
Though You have hidden Yourself from the wise and the learned
You have given the testimony about Yourself to little children such as us (Mt11:23).
What grace this is!
Let us possess undeniable experiences of Your true living existence and
Become faithful witnesses of Yeshua until our last breath! Amen.
