The Lord Worked With Them
(Mk16:14-20)

God is the God of authority forever (Jude1:25).
All authorities come from Him (Rm13:1)
With which He created all things, rules over all things and works in every moment.
He gives authority to those who submit to His authority.

Faith is submitting to His authority and
The life of this faith is using authority and working so the Ruler works with me today.

Religions are human efforts for the divine whom they imagine as being present in some place
Thus even making and placing idols there.
However, they do not move or do anything.

By comparison, the Christian faith is believing that
The God who worked alone in the creation (Ge1; Ps107:24, 139:14)
By grace now works with me.

Deceived by the serpent Adam, the ancestor of all men, sinned and
All men became slaves of the ruler of death (He2:14-15; 2Pe2:19).

Nevertheless, for God was with the mouth of Moses and so his words had authority (Ex4:12) and
With his staff Moses performed signs and brought the people of Israel out of Egypt (Ex3:12, 4:8).

Inside the sanctuary God commanded Moses to place not his staff
But Aaron’s staff in front of the ark (Nu17:10)
To remind the Israelites for generations that God is the God of authority forever
While the prophet spoke of the One who would come
To establish the city of God and until then He would have no rest (Is45:13, 62:7).

Yeshua said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days” (Jn2:19), because
Through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body,
He would reveal His authority for
He is the incarnate Word in the beginning who is with the Father (Jn1:1, 14, 8:16).
Thus He did the work of driving out demons and healing with authority (Mk1:27)
Having no rest (Jn5:16-17; Lk13:31-33).

He also sent out the disciples
To do the same work in His name (Mt10:1; Mk3:13-15; Lk10:17-18).
As He died, He said, “It is finished” (Jn19:30), declaring that He:
1) Submitted His life to the Father’s authority (Jn10:17-18; Php2:6-11)
2) Condemned the devil who challenged God’s authority and caused man to do the same (Ge3:5; 1Jn3:8); and
3) Bore the sins of men and set them free from the ruler of death (Is53:11; He2:14-15; 1Pe2:24).

Finally in three days after His death,
He revealed the greatest sign: His resurrection (Mt12:38-40).
He received all authority in heaven and on earth and sat on the throne in heaven (Mt28:18).

The Holy Spirit whom He sent from there came with power (Ac1:8, 2:3-4)
To those whoever received the name Yeshua and
Lets them know and practice the authority of God’s children (Jn1:12).

Therefore, the Christian restlessly goes out and works so that
According to His promise the Lord restlessly works with him (Is62:7; Mt28:20; 1Co12:6) by
Boldly testifying the truth (Mt10:20; Ac4:29-31),
Praying persistently (Lk18:1-18) and
Driving out demons and laying hands to heal (Mk16:17), for
On the day the Lord returns
He longs to finally receive the greatest sign for himself: his own resurrection.

O Lord,
What is man that You counsel him?
With the authority You gave us we will restlessly work so
Please work with us, Lord! Amen.
