Keep Watch and Be Ready
(Mt24:33-51)

God is faithful and does no wrong (Dt32:4).
He never forgets what He said (Nu23:19), and
He surely acts according to what He said.

Faith is believing that He fulfills His prophecies and keeps His covenants, and
The life of this faith is preparing for the day He returns according to His word.

In spite of the fact that the coming of the Son of Man refers to
The return of the God who came in flesh (Ac1:11) and
The Bible, the word of the prophecy, warns that He is coming soon (Rev22:7, 12, 20),
Liberal theology treats it as just a metaphor and people simply do not believe it (Ecc9:12).

For the devil deceived himself (Is14:12-15)
He caused Adam to doubt and sin, because of which his spirit died (Ge2:17, 3:4-5).

When warned of the flood, Noah prepared an ark and
He and his family were saved (Ge6:13-22, 7:9-24; He11:7).

Abraham was the name that childless Abram received from God (Ge15:2-6, 17:5) as
He would be the father of many nations (Ge17:4) and
As a sign of God returning to him, Abraham received a seed, Isaac, at the age of 100 (Ge18:10) and
The prophecy of his descendants returning to the promised land
After four generations of living in a country not of their own (Ge15:13-16).

The Passover, the Feast of Unleavened Bread and the sanctuary (Ex12:11-13, 13:6-7), which
God gave as a covenant to Israel (He8:9), reminded them that
They left Egypt in haste on the day it turned 430 years according to the prophecy (Ex12:41).

However, they eventually became unruly against the faithful God (Hos11:12), for which
The prophets warned of God’s coming retribution for all their detestable practices (Eze7:8),
The coming great and dreadful day of the Lord (Mal4:5-6).

According to the prophecy, the last prophet, John the Baptist appeared and
Prepared the people for the Messiah who was to come after him (Mt3:1-2, 7-12; Lk1:16-17).

Yeshua came and said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days” (Jn2:19), because
Through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body,
He would fulfill the Prophets and the Law (Mt11:13) for
He is the Word in the beginning who began the world (Jn1:1, 3) who
Appeared as the Son in the last days (He1:2)
To end the world by His word (2Pe3:7).

As He died, He said, “It is finished” (Jn19:30), declaring that He:
1) Died as the last Adam and fulfilled the faithful Father’s prophecy (Ge2:17; 1Co15:45);
2) Condemned the devil who caused doubt (Ge3:4; 1Jn3:8); and
3) Poured out the blood of the covenant for the forgiveness of sins (Mt26:28).

The Father raised Him and fulfilled the prophecy for the Son (Jn10:18).

According to the promise,
The Holy Spirit comes by the Father and the Son (Jn14:26, 15:26)
To those who believe in the name Yeshua and
Reminds them Yeshua’s words of prophecy and covenant, that is, His return (Mt16:27; Rev22:20).

The man inspired by the Spirit is he who
Believes in Yeshua’s prophecy of His return and His promise of taking him back and
Seeing the signs knows that the Lord is near, right at the door (Mt24:33).
Therefore, in order to not be excluded from the forthcoming rapture (1Th4:15-18),
He does not get drunk with the world but rather
Keeps watch and prepares for the day that is near (Mt24:45-51) by
Staying awake and praying,
Repenting in haste (Rev2:16, 21),
Doing the work of an evangelist (2Ti4:1-5) and
Remaining faithful to the Master’s work, the work of His church.

O Lord,
Though You clearly show us the signs that the day of Your return is imminent
Why do we still not believe?
If a dog can risk his own life to be faithful to the work given to him
How much more for us to be faithful for Your work, for the souls given to us?
There is no time.
Let us all wake up and run.
Let us be faithful to death for the Master’s work and endure until You take us back!
Amen.
