I Am A Sinner
(Ps51:1-19; 1Jn1:8-10)

God is righteous (Ps119:137).
He works righteousness (Ps103:6), and
He judges the world with righteousness (Ps9:8).

Faith is confessing before God that I am a sinner.
The life of this faith is repenting and becoming holy.

If one were to confess before men “I am a sinner,”
He would be labeled and avoided by others.
When one confesses before God, “I am a sinner,” however,
God forgives his sins and saves him from all unrighteousness (1Jn1:9).

The Bible says that God alone is righteous and that all have sinned (Rm3:23) for
Adam the ancestor of all mankind was deceived by the devil and sinned (Ge2:17, 3:4-6).

The devil is the archangel who sinned in the spiritual heaven (Is14:12-15; Eze28:12-17) and
Thus was contained in Hades, the universe, until the great day of judgement (2Pe2:4) —
The origin of sin (1Jn3:8).

There are three types of sins in men:
1) The original sin — Adam’s sin — inherited in the spirit (Ps51:5; Rm5:12);
2) Sins of desires — the desire to sin — the sin of the character (Ge4:8); and
3) Self-committed sins — transgressions, unrighteousness — the sin of breaking commands (Lev5:17; Jas2:10-11),

And the price of sin is death (Ge2:17; Rm6:23; Rev21:8).

The sanctuary was a mechanism to remind the Israelites of:
The stone tablets and the testimony — the righteousness of God — condemnation;
The atonement cover and sacrifice — the grace of God — atonement (Lev4:27-31).

Yeshua said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days” (Jn2:19), because
Through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body,
He would give not the sacrifice of animals but the sacrifice of His own body (He10:1-10) and
Forgive those who realize their sins for
He is the God who came as the Son of Man (Jn1:1, 14), who
Knows no sin but would become sin so many may become righteous (2Co5:21).

He rebuked the self-righteous men (Mt5:28; Lk18:9-14) and
Became a friend to sinners (Mt9:10-13; Lk7:37-48, 19:7-10) for
He came to call sinners to repent (Lk11:19).

He was condemned as a sinner breaking the Law (Jn9:24) and
As He died, He said, “It is finished” (Jn19:30), declaring that He:
1) Obeyed the Father’s command and died, worked righteousness (Ps103:6; Jn10:17);
2) Judged the devil the origin of sin (1Jn3:8); and
3) Through one man’s obedience many would be made righteous (Rm5:18-19).

He resurrected and sat on the heavenly throne as
The King of righteousness (He7:2).

The Holy Spirit whom He sent
Rebukes His people who are in the world
Regards to sin, righteousness and judgement (Jn16:8-11).

The man of the Spirit is he who is
Tolerant regarding others’ sin but sensitive regarding his own sin,
Thus curses himself who was conceived in sin and sinful at birth (Ps51:3-4) for
Still not being able to rid himself of sins and transgressions.
He grieves over himself who is
Unable to live by faith and do what is good (Rm7:15-25; Jas4:17).

With all honesty he confesses all to the Lord (Jas4:8-9; 1Jn1:8-10)
For he knows that the Lord remembers no more of the confessed sins (He10:17-18) and that
He heals the broken spirit (Ps51:3-17).

O Lord,
All my dirty sins that others could never forgive
I confess every one of them to You, Lord Yeshua.
Please forgive me!
Let me throw all my sins and transgressions into the past…
Cleanse me with hyssop and
Renew a steadfast spirit in me. Amen.
