I Am God’s Beloved
(Mt27:45-54; Rm5:5-8)

God is love (1Jn4:8).
He shows His love and confirms it (Rm5:8), and
He loves to the end His own whom He loves (Jn13:1).

Faith is knowing His love and receiving it (1Jn4:16) and knowing that one is God’s beloved.
The life of this faith is loving everything about Yeshua and loving Him to death.

Love is an exclusively unique quality of humans.
While there are love stories that move people to tears
There are also stories of those who are even less than animals that shock the world.

The Bible contains the story of God’s love for men.
While God created angels in heaven to minister (He1:14)
He created men on earth in the weakness of the flesh (Rm5:6)
As the object of God’s love.
Although deceived by the devil Adam sinned and thus was banished from the Garden
God clothed him in the garment of skin (Ge3:21-24),
Vividly revealing the love of God.

As the Israelites were a people loved by God for He swore to their ancestors,
They were redeemed from the land of slavery in Egypt (Dt7:8; Hos11:1) and
Led into the land promised with blessings and prosperity (Dt7:13).

The sanctuary where the name Jehovah was (1Ki8:16) for
Those who love His name (Ps69:35-36)
To also love His commands, His law, His Word and Jerusalem (Ps119:47, 97, 140, 122:6).
However, because they loved gentile gods and evil schemes they were cursed (Jer2:25).
Though His beloved engaged in wickedness, He still loved them (Jer11:15; Hos3:1).
God prophesied that He will betroth them to Him forever
In righteousness and justice, in love and compassion, and in faithfulness (Hos2:19-20).

Yeshua said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days” (Jn2:19), because
Through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body,
Not in the name Jehovah but in the Father’s name Yeshua (Jn5:43),
He would love not flesh and blood through their ancestors
But souls through the Son His Beloved (Mt3:17, 17:5) as His children, not servants.
Just as He remained in the Father’s love
He appealed that the disciples remain in His love (Jn15:9).

As He died in the midst of men’s sneering and hurling of insults (Mk15:29-32)
Yeshua said, “It is finished” (Jn19:30), declaring that He:
1) Revealed the Father’s love that gave His One and Only Son (Mk15:33-34; 1Jn4:9-10);
2) Judged the devil the separator (Ge3:6; 1Jn3:8); and
3) Laid down His life for sinners and demonstrated His love (Jn15:13; Rm5:8).

He resurrected and sat on the heavenly throne and
He reigns in love in the kingdom where there is only love forever (Col1:13).

The Holy Spirit whom He sent to those whom He loves
Pours out into their hearts God’s love (Rm5:5) and
They become free slaves to the love of Yeshua (Ex21:6; Jn19:26).

The Christian loves
Yeshua, His Word, His kingdom, His church and
The souls whom He loved to the point of shedding His blood.
He puts on the breastplate of love and overcomes any test (Rm8:28; 1Th5:8),
Selflessly loves his brothers and
To snatch souls from the fire (Jude1:23)
He does not feel burdened to take up a cross (Ge29:20; Mt11:30)
For love is not knowledge but an emotion,
Not a theory but a practice.

O Lord,
You love this undeserving sinner that much….
You truly are love, God!
Let even the coldest stone crumble before Your love.
Let even the most impregnable wall melt before Your love! Amen.
