I Have Met Yeshua
(Pr8:17; Lk19:1-10)

God is living.
He is living in His existence and person and
He meets with those who earnestly seek Him (Jer29:13).

The success or the failure of one’s life depends on whom he meets for
Meeting an evil man is the beginning of bad luck while
Meeting a good man is possessing the key to good luck.

Faith is longing to meet with God and
The life of this faith is seeking Him when it is the time to and meeting Him (Ps32:6; Is55:6) for
The personal encounter with the living God must foster a personal relationship (Jn20:28), as
An encounter or meeting is not being a spectator among many
But rather it is having a relationship with Him so I know Him and He knows me (Mt25:12).

The Bible provides the chance for men to encounter God.
Although after Adam, the ancestor of all men, sinned and was driven out of the Garden (Ge2:17, 3:4-6),
All men became lost (Ge3:24),
It indicates that those who seek God wholeheartedly can find Him for He is a God nearby (Jer23:23).

The Old Testament contains stories of those who encountered God:
Abraham, Lot, Jacob, Moses etc (Ge18:1-2, 16-17, 19:1-3).
They did not, however, meet Him directly for
They met the God who revealed Himself through the angel (Ge32:24-30; Hos12:3-4) for
No one can see God and live (Ex33:20-23).

Inside the Tabernacle of Meeting which God instructed the Israelites to build was
The ark of testimony, on top of which was the atonement cover,
The meeting place with God (Ex29:42-43, 30:6, 36).
It was there the high priest who represented the Lord God and the Israelites
Brought the blood of animal before the cherubim and met with God (Ex25:22; He9:7).

The temple was important to them because
Even if their kingdom fell due to their evil deeds (Dt4:26-29)
When they turned from their ways and sought the Lord He promised to meet with them.

Yeshua said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days” (Jn2:19), because

Through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body,
He would in not the name Jehovah but the Father’s name Yeshua (Jn5:43),
Not an appearance of the angel but the God revealed in the flesh (Jn1:1, 14) would
Meet with each one of those who believe Him, not like a high priest who represented all
Not in the tabernacle but in the deep place of the soul.

As such, He even met with the blind man who with all his heart sought Him (Mk10:46-52).

As He died, Yeshua said, “It is finished” (Jn19:30), declaring that He:
1) Laid down His life and committed His soul in the Father’s hands (Lk23:46; Jn10:18);
2) Condemned the devil the separator (Ge3:4-6; 1Jn3:8); and
3) With the redeeming blood prepared a chance to meet with all men (Eph1:7).

He resurrected and ascended to heaven and
Sat on the throne and
Sent the Holy Spirit in the name Yeshua.
While the Son of Man is the God who came in the flesh to the world to meet with men,
The Holy Spirit is the God who came as the Spirit to meet the souls of His children before His blood.

Like Jacob, the Christian empties himself of everything (Ge32:22-24), and
To find a chance to meet Yeshua (Ps32:6)
Alone in his room he confesses his sins (Ps32:3-5; Mt6:6) and
Passes through the process of repentance (Ac3:26, 9:9).
Through his transformed life (Lk19:5-8)
He testifies that he is someone who has met the living Yeshua.

O Lord,
This human rubbish, the worst of all sinners…
You truly met with me!
Let us all, even if we have to break our backs,
Wholeheartedly seek You and meet You.
Through our truly transformed life let us become witnesses of Yeshua.
Let us all testify that our Lord Yeshua Christ lives! Amen.
