I Am A Messenger of Good News of Great Joy
(Lk2:1-14; Rm10:13-15)

God is the source of joy (Ps16:11).
Good news comes from Him (Ob1:1) and
Lifts up those who proclaim good news of joy to the high place, the height of joy (Is40:9).

Faith is hearing the good news and rejoicing and
The life of this faith is joyfully proclaiming the good news.

As one’s joy or sorrow is determined by the news he hears,
Everyone longs to hear good news since
Adam sinned and was cast out of the Garden which became shielded by a flaming sword (Ge3:24),
All men became bound by the wall of sin (Eph2:14)
Thus waiting for good news from God.

Then the most shocking news in the history of men was delivered:
By a deluge all living things that breathe would be destroyed (Ge6:13-22).
Following the covenant, however, Noah built an ark and saved his household.
Furthermore, once hearing the news of the coming destruction of Sodom,
Lot and his family ran for their lives and were saved from the brimstone fire (Ge19:1-26).

The news that the Israelites heard in Egypt from Moses was about
Their deliverance from slavery and returning to the promised land.
So they left overnight the place where they had lived for 430 years (Ex12:41).

However, after arriving in Canaan they became corrupted and
Consequently were taken as captives.
Yet even in their exile, they looked to the Temple of Jerusalem as it was prophesied that
A herald of good news would be given to Jerusalem (Is41:27) coming with power (Is40:9)
So they longed for the coming of the Messiah (Is52:7).

Yeshua said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days” (Jn2:19), because
Through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body,
In the Father’s name Yeshua (Jn5:43), not Jehovah
The Son of God, not angels or prophets, had come
To not only to the people of Israel but all nations as the good news of great joy (Lk2:10).
The more the effort to limit the news the more it spread (Mt9:30-31; Mk7:36),
Namely by the poor, the sick and the sinners (Lk4:14-15).

As He died, He said, “It is finished” (Jn19:30), declaring that:
1) The good news of the greatest joy comes from the Father alone (Ob1:1; Jn10:17-18);
2) Condemned the devil the liar (Ge3:4-6; Jn8:44); and
3) Tore down the wall of sin and declared liberty to those who receive the sprinkling of His blood (Eph2:14).

His resurrection is the news of greatest joy in the history of men and
The Holy Spirit testifies the name Yeshua.
As such, from Jerusalem to the ends of the earth the news spread (Ac1:8) for
The gospel is the good news about:
1) The resurrection of Yeshua — the resurrection of the dead — my resurrection (1Co15:13);
2) Yeshua the Son of God — repentance for the forgiveness of sins (Lk24:47);
3) Yeshua Christ — the King of kings reigns (Ac8:5);
4) Yeshua is Lord — I am the Lord’s (2Co4:5); and
5)Yeshua the Shepherd — He is always with me (1Co14:25).

The Christian is he who goes over the mountains and the hills
To bring good news (Rm10:13-15), that is,
The gospel regarding God coming as man, as
He longs to see Yeshua in the high heaven
When He appears a second time in the flesh (He9:28).

O Lord,
I passionately welcome Your coming in flesh!
Even for my sake, You had to become poor, be flogged and finally die.
Let me never lose the joy of receiving this shockingly good news for the rest of my life and
Let me run to bring this good news for the rest of my life.
Aside from the news of the Lord Yeshua coming in flesh
No news is meaningful to me! Amen.
