Have the Mind of the Lord
(Is57:15; Php2:1-11)

God is high and lofty (Is57:15).
He dwells in the high and holy place and
Also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit.
Faith is having the mind of the Lord and
The life of this faith is humbling oneself (1Pe5:6) and counting others more significant than oneself (Php2:3).

Humble people are liked by everyone in the world so
They always have friends, companions and supporters for
Humility comes before honor (Pr15:33).

The Bible indicates that, for before destruction a man’s heart is haughty (Pr18:12),
God did not forgive Satan who, because of his pride, rebelled against the Most High (Eze28:17)
and Was brought down to the depths of the pit, Hades (Is14:12-15).

All men became slaves of the devil and with him headed to hell (Mt25:41) for
Their ancestor Adam was deceived by the devil to be like God and sinned (Ge3:4-6).

The history of Israel is a display of
God lowering them when proud and saving them when humble (Job22:29; Pr29:23).
After their exodus from Egypt, they passed through the wilderness in 40 years (Dt8:2-3),
God gave them the Law to be kept for generations (Dt31:26-27), and
Had them build the sanctuary all to humble them because
God knew that they would become proud and forget their past of slavery and say that
It was by their own power they gained their possessions (Dt8:12-18).

Those who, in spite of this, neglected God, whether kings or the people,
God mercilessly struck (2Sa24:1-15; 2Ch26:11-20) with
The rod of men and the stripes of the sons of men (2Sa7:14).

Yeshua came and said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it in three days,” because
Through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body (Jn2:19-22),
He would reveal that He came as the King to judge the prince of the world (Zec9:9; Jn12:31).
Though He is the very nature God (Php2:6)
He humbled Himself as the Son of Man to be yoked (Mt11:29).
Because He refused to become their king (Jn6:15)
He was put to death by the stiff-necked Pharisees.

However, as He died, He said, “It is finished” (Jn19:30), declaring that He:
1) Humbled Himself and died like a sinner, testifying that the Father other is high and lofty (Php2:6-8);
2) Judged the devil the origin of pride (Ob1:3-4; 1Jn3:8); and
3) With His redeeming blood delivered all men from their slavery (Rm8:2; He2:14-15).

He resurrected and with the name above all names He sat on the throne in heaven (Php2:9-11).

The Holy Spirit revives the spirit of the lowly (Is57:15),
Those who in the past were slaves to sin (Rm6:16).

He who confesses Christ as Lord (1Co12:3)
Runs a good race within the church His body (Eph1:22)
By counting others more significantly than himself.
He clothes himself with humility (1Pe5:5)
Until the Lord comes and lifts him up (1Pe5:6).

O Lord,
Strike us, who have the tendencies of children of the devil,
With the rod of men and the stripes of the sons of men.
Crush the enemies of the church, our pride and arrogance! Amen.
