Loving the Lord Yeshua
(Jn21:15-17)

God is love (1Jn4:8).
He loves the evil and the good (Mt5:45) and
Takes those whom He loves to the kingdom of His beloved Son to live with them forever (Col1:13).

While the great theme of all religions and philosophies is the human love,
The Bible demands that man ought to love the Lord more than others (Jn21:15).
As such faith is loving the Lord Yeshua and
The life of this faith is loving the Lord’s young souls.

Whether it is between a parent and a child, lovers, siblings, friends or for humanity (philanthropy),
Love is a uniquely human attribute.
While there are beautifully moving stories of love,
There are also those that indicate lack of interest, neglect and heartlessness towards neighbors.

After Adam sinned, a flaming shield was placed around the Garden (Ge3:4-6, 24) to
Illustrate the enmity between God and man and among men.
As such, Cain killed own brother,
Frankly expressing indifference and mercilessness (Ge4:9).

Nevertheless, for God loved their ancestors He brought the Israelites out of Egypt (Dt4:37),
Giving them the promise of a land and blessings to a thousand generations (Ex20:6; Dt11:22)
Through the commandment, the Law.
The greatest commandment (Mt22:36-40) was
First, love the Lord God (commandments 1 to 4) and
Second, love their neighbors (commandments 5-10).

In spite of the fact that they were to not harm their neighbors but show mercy on them (Lev19:5-18),
Because they were ruthless and served idols (Eze22:3), and
They robbed and oppressed the poor,
God paid them back with the fire of wrath (Eze22:29-31).

Yeshua said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days” (Jn2:19), and
Shocked the Jews who loved Jerusalem.
However, through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body,
He would make the Law perfect (Mt5:17) for
According to the prophecy (Hos2:19, 31)
He came to love the Father and all men who had become enemies, and show them mercy.

As He died, He said, “It is finished” (Jn19:30), declaring that He:
1) Laid down His life and loved the Father (Jn14:31);
2) Judged the devil the separator (Ge3:4-6; 1Jn3:8); and
3) Confirmed the Father’s love for men (Rm5:8) and showed mercy to men who had met a robber (Lk10:36-37).

He resurrected and sat on the heavenly throne which is
In the kingdom where the Son reigns with love (Col1:13).

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit who lets believers love the Lord Yeshua (Rm5:5) and
Thus keep His commands (Jn15:9-10).
He lets those whose bigger debt had been forgiven (Lk7:42-47),
Those who received more grace (1Co15:10), and
Those who have none but the Lord to love (Ps73:25)
To love the Lord’s young souls.

The Christian takes care of them like little brothers (Jn21:15),
Sharing what is good and does not hold back sacrifice (1Jn3:18),
Follows the good shepherd who laid down His life for His sheep
To love like He showed (Jn15:13, 17, 21:15-19) for
He longs for the crown of life promised to those who love Him on that day (Jas1:12).

O Lord,
If we love the Lord,
We would love all that is Yours - Your face, Your body, Your feet…
Even if they are ignorant, impertinent
Let us love the little souls whom You have also bore in Your blood! Amen.
