According to the Lord’s Will
(Jas4:13-17)

God has a will.
By His will He created all things (Rev4:11) and
He surely does according to His will (1Ch17:19).

Faith is being delighted to do according to His will (Is25:1) and
The life of this faith is doing according to His will whether one lives or dies.

Although a man with a will puts every effort daily
To do according to his plan,
In the end it is just for his one body to live.
The Bible describes those who make a long-term plan that is not according to the Lord’s will as
Those who boast in their arrogant schemes, those who are evil for
Man is a mist who has no promise of tomorrow (Jas4:13-16).

Since the essence of man is flesh that is made of dust,
From dust he comes and to dust he is to return, thus, a vain existence (Ge3:19).
God breathed into man the breath of life and the man became a living being (Ge2:7), and
Gave him the command to not eat the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (Ge2:17),
Because the living being is a spiritual being that must eat the word to live (Mt4:4).

However, because the ancestor of all men, Adam, was deceived by the devil and sinned (Ge3:4-6),
All men became hell-bound with the devil (Mt25:41).

The will of God of giving the Law to the Israelites (Dt6:20-24) was
For them to live a long life in the land He swore to their ancestors (Dt30:19-20).
For that, they were to obey His word.

The temple where the stone tablets were
Reminded them of the unchanging will of God (Job23:13).
However, their fall came for they worshipped idols (Zec10:11).

Meanwhile, the prophet spoke of the One sent by God (Is53:10),
To be crushed and suffer as an offering for sin and
The will of the Lord will prosper in His hand.

Yeshua said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days” (Jn2:19), because
Through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body,
According to what is written in the the scroll (He10:5-7),
With His body He would do the Father’s will.
It was to give all those given to Him
Not a long life on earth but eternal life in heaven (Jn6:38-40).
As such, His life, every moment of it was only for the Father’s will (Mt26:41; Jn4:34).

As He died, He said, “It is finished” (Jn19:30), declaring that:
1) For He knows the Father’s deliberate plan and foreknowledge fulfilled the Father’s will (Ac2:23; He10:10);
2) He Judged the devil who did as he wished (Is14:12-15; 1Jn3:8); and
3) He gave Himself for all men’s sins according to the will of the Lord (Gal1:4).

He resurrected and sat on the heavenly throne (Col1:16; He1:2),
Completing the Father’s will from before the creation.

The Holy Spirit whom He sent
Comes to the souls redeemed by His blood and
Lets them carry out the providence following His plan for the fullness of time (Eph1:9).

The man of the Spirit is he who
Longs to carry out the Father’s will that was achieved in the only begotten Son (Mt6:10)
To also be achieved in his dust like body.
Therefore, he daily denies himself (2Co10:4-6),
Daily carries the cross that puts himself to death (Mt16:24), and
Follows the Lord for eternal life.

O Lord,
Let me daily deny my argument, my knowledge, and my thoughts.
Let me daily put to death my temper, my own desires, and my fleshly desires
So that the Lord’s will of giving eternal life
Be done in me and in all You have given me. Amen.
