Lord, Let Us Mature in Faith!
(Jn1:12-13; Eph4:13-16)

God is the Lord of faith.
Faith comes from Him and
He inherits His kingdom to those who mature in their faith (Eph4:13).

Faith is believing that one has become a child of God (Jn1:12) and
The life of this faith is becoming mature in faith, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of
Christ, that is, by being acquainted with the teachings of righteousness (Eph4:13-15; He5:13-14),
That is to become heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, sharing in His suffering in order to
share His glory (Rm8:17).

Christianity is the kingdom of faith:
By faith one is justified (Rm3:28), saved (2Ti3:15), becomes the people of God (1Pe2:10),
The child of God (Jn1:12) and His heir (Rm4:6) etc.

Even an only son must mature to become an heir,
As an heir to the throne must also grow in his knowledge and the rules of etiquette
Being educated and disciplined across the board so that he could inherit great authority.
The Bible is the book that leads believers to mature in the knowledge of God:
God/ the Transcendent (Ge1); Jehovah God/ the Personal (Ge3);
Jehovah/ the Self-existent (Ge4; Ex3:13); Yeshua/ the Savior (Mt1:21).

The father of faith Abram received God’s promise of
An heir from his own flesh and blood (Ge15:3-4), the land of Canaan as an inheritance (Ge17:8).
His descendants the Israelites were delivered overnight from their slavery of 430 years and
Left Egypt for the land promised to their ancestors, for which
They received the statutes regarding the distribution and the inheritance of that land, which was
To their flesh and blood (Nu26:56, 27:8-11).

In spite of the fact that, if they obeyed the command of the LORD
They were promised of blessing, longevity and wealth in the land given as inheritance (Dt15:4),
Because they were unfaithful to the LORD (Hos5:7)
Following the prophecy their descendants would be cut off and lose their inheritance (Ps109:13).

Yeshua said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days” (Jn2:19), because
Through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body,
Not in Jehovah’s name but in Yeshua the Father’s name (Jn5:43)
He would give the inheritance of not Canaan but the heavenly Father’s house,
To those knowing not the Law/ the elementary teaching
But the truth/ the great surpassing knowledge (Php3:8) —
In other words, not those of flesh and blood but those who believe (Jn1:12-13), for
Those who believe Him believe the Father who sent Him (Jn12:44).

As He died, He said, “It is finished” (Jn19:30), declaring that He:
1) Did according to the Father’s command and became the Lord of Faith (Jn10:17-18; He12:2);
2) Judged the archangel who attempted to become heir on his own (Is14:12-15; He1:5); and
3) Sprinkled His redeeming blood on all men so they may become His heirs (Eph1:7).

He resurrected and ascended to heaven, and
Following God’s plan before the creation
Sat down at the right hand of God becoming the Heir of all things (He1:2).

The Holy Spirit who came in the name Yeshua
Testifies in believers that they are children of God (Rm8:16) and
Lets them become mature in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God,
Attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

The Christian is he who knows that, “I am an heir-to-be” (Gal4:7), so he:
No longer is under the spirit of servant, the elementary teaching, the Law (Rm8:15; Gal4:2-7; He6:1);
Does not think beyond the measure of his faith, as each member has a different function in the body (Rm12:3-8; He5:12-14);
With mature faith looks after young souls (Rm14:1) and
Does the work of building up the body of Christ, the Church (Eph4:14-16).

O Lord,
Am I a spiritually premature baby who only thinks of herself?
Or am I a spiritual teenager who wants to be rebellious?
Lord, increase our faith (Lk17:5)!
Let our faith grow!
Let not even one of us shrink back to be destroyed (He10:39).
Rather, let us now consider others, understand the pastor’s heart, and
Always be thinking of the church as our priority. Amen.
