A Good Soldier of Christ Jesus
(2Ti2:1-6)

God is the Lord of glory.
He fights for glory and triumphs (Pr21:31), and
He welcomes those with their own glory and dwells with them forever (Rev21:2-23-26).

Faith is opening one’s eyes to His glory and
The life of this faith is becoming a good soldier of the kingdom where Yeshua reigns as Christ and fighting for Him and triumphing through Him (Rm8:37; 2Co2:4).

For the victor gets glory and plunder, while the defeated faces shame and loss,
Nations race to develop the most powerful weapons to win.
Yet soldiers deployed in battlefields think deeply of “What is the nation to me?” for
They sacrifice their lives to defend its land, people, sovereignty and the way of life.

The Bible is the Book of the Wars of the LORD (Nu21:14) for
It records the war in heaven (Rev12:7-9) and God’s strategy planned before the creation (Eph1:4),
Satan, when he challenged God (Is14:12-15) and left his proper position, was
Contained in Hades until the great day of judgment (2Pe2:4; Jude1:6).
Deceived by him, Adam sinned (Ge2:17, 3:4-6) and became his slave (2Pe2:19),
While the devil became the ruler of death, the prince of the world (Jn12:31; He2:14), who would
Be defeated by the offspring of the woman (Ge3:15).

The descendants of Israel, who struggled with the angel and
Received the name (Ge32:24-28; Hos12:3-4) were brought out of their slavery of 430 years in Egypt
To become a kingdom of priests and a holy nation (Ex19:6) and so
God fought for them with wonders (Ex3:20, 14:14, 17:14-16; Jos24:12) for
The battle is the LORD’s (1Sa17:47).

When they entered Canaan, God left the tribes there to teach them about warfare (Jdg3:1-4).
While they defeated the battles that the LORD put into their hands (1Sa17:47),
Because they worshiped other gods, they faced endless wars and the kingdoms eventually fell.

Nevertheless, since the Temple stood and
There was the prophecy of the coming King of glory mighty in battle (Ps24:7-10),
They never lost their hope for the restoration of their kingdom (Ac1:6).

Thus, when Yeshua said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days,”
They were aroused to pass Him over to death (Mt26:61).
But through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body (Jn2:19-22),
Yeshua would fight and defeat the prince of the world (Jn12:31) for
He came as the kingdom of heaven (Mt3:2, 4:17) and
Defeated the temptation of the devil by the written word (Mt4:11).

He died on the cross for the foolishness and the weakness of God is
The strategy of God, the message of the cross (1Co1:18. 25).
As He died, He said, “It is finished” (Jn19:30), declaring that He:
1) As the offspring of the woman laid down His life willingly and used it as His weapon to defeat the devil and gave glory to the Father (Ge3:15; Jn10:18; Php2:6-11);
2) Judged the devil the ruler of death (He2:14; 1Jn3:8); and
3) Nailed man’s greatest enemy, sin and death, to the cross and redeemed them (1Co15:55-57; Col2:14).

He resurrected for death was swallowed up in victory (1Co15:54), and
In the crown of glory He ascended to the throne in heaven as the King of glory.

His kingdom came when the Holy Spirit came
To the souls and the church purchased by His blood (Mk9:1; Ac20:28).

A good soldier of Christ has a clear sense of belonging and
Gives absolute submission to Christ’s command (Jn12:50).
To the point of shedding blood (He12:4) he fights against his enemies: The devil;
Any argument, knowledge and ideology against the knowledge of God (2Co10:4-5); The world (1Jn2:15-16, 5:4);
Members of his own household (Mt10:34-36); and
Himself, sinful desires and all sins that war against his soul (Jas4:1-4; 1Pe2:11).
He risks his life to defend the church, the souls, the truth, the way of the Christian life and For the expansion of His kingdom.
Therefore, guaranteed for him is
Daily bread, the support of the Holy Spirit (Mt6:33; 2Ti2:6; Ac9:31) and
To be taken up when the Lord returns (No one is left behind).

O Lord,
The Church of Jesus and I will
Fight to death for Your kingdom.
Dead or alive, we will never be left behind!
So let not even one of us give up the fight to the end for
We are more than conquerors in Christ! Amen.
