He Who Works In the Day
(Jn9:4-5; 1Th5:4-8)

God works (Eph1:11).
He works diligently (Jer7:25, 11:7) for Himself (Ge22:8), and
Brings those who work in the day for Him to the place where there is no night (Rev21:25, 22:5).

While most employees work to kill time
The self-employed works diligently day or night since the work and its gain is for himself.

Faith is knowing what my work is and
The life of this faith is diligently doing the work of Him who sent me in the time I have in flesh for a
Time is coming when I can no longer work even if I wanted to (Jn9:4).

Although the Garden of Eden was a paradise on earth where one did not have to work (Ge2:16),
Deceived by the devil Adam sinned and was driven out (Ge3:4-6, 24) and
Subsequently there would be no guarantee for the painful toils of all men (Ge3:16-19).

God Himself delivered Israel from Egypt (Ex32:11; Dt2:5; Neh1:10),
From slavery which has no guarantee for their work
To become the people of God for whom there is guarantee for their work.
As such, they had to fight and work to conquer the land promised to them (E33:1-2).
Furthermore they had to work to obey the commandments that were
Inscribed on the stone tablets by the finger of God (Dt9:10).

In the sanctuary where the stone tablets were inside the ark and the name Jehovah was
The priests and the people continued to do the work of giving sacrifice.

But eventually they had no regard for the deeds of the LORD (Ps28:5) and
Considered the work as a burden for which they were cursed (Mal1:6-13; 2:1-2).

Yet the prophecy of giving the LORD no rest until He builds Jerusalem (Is62:7) and
The LORD Himself bearing their sins (Is53:11) gave them hope.

Yeshua appeared and said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it in three days,” because
Through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body (Jn2:19-20),
He would work to complete the sacrifice in the temple (Mt12:6; Jn1:28) for
He is the incarnate Word from the beginning (Jn1:1, 14) who was
Sent by the Father to do His work (Jn9:4), that is,
To raise souls up at the last day by giving them His flesh and blood (Jn6:28-29, 38-40, 54-58).

For the Father is at His work to this day (Jn5:17, 36)
The Son also worked from early in the morning until late at night
Praying, preaching, teaching, healing the sick and
Driving out demons (Mt8:16-17, 14:23, 25; Lk4:40, 6:12; Jn3:2).
Although He was restless during His public life He pressed on to finish His work (Lk13:32-33).

As He died, He said, “It is finished” (Jn19:30), declaring that He:
1) Died according to the Father’s command and fought to take by force the kingdom of heaven
which the Father prepared for Him (Mt11:12; Jn10:18; He1:2);
2) Condemned the devil who coveted the throne (Is14:12-15; 1Jn3:8); and
3) Bore in His flesh the sins of all souls (1Pe2:24) and with His blood redeemed them (1Pe1:18-19)
and finished all His work.

He resurrected and sat at the right hand of God and
Does the work of serving the Father forever (He7:24-26),
Interceding for the souls whom He purchased with His blood (Rm8:34; Rev5:9).

The Holy Spirit who was sent by the Father (Jn14:16, 15:26)
Lets the work of the name Yeshua be known and continues it to this day.

A disciple made by the Spirit is
A worker of the gospel, of the church (Col1:23, 25).
As a son of the light, even if he lacks sleep (1Th5:4-8),
He is awake to not cease praying until heard (Lk18:1-8),
To boldly testify the gospel (Mt10:19-20; Ac1:8)
To heal in the name Yeshua (Mk16:17-20) and
To serve so that the body of Christ may be built up (Rm12:6-13; Eph4:12) for
He longs to take by force the kingdom of heaven where (Mt11:12)
There will be no more night but only the light of day forever (Rev21:25, 22:5).

O Lord,
Like the apostle Paul (Php2:17, 3:12-14), like our pastor Kang,
We want to be poured out of our sincerity and diligence
To press on while it is called day and work for the name Yeshua!
Let the Holy Spirit continue to work in our Church of Jesus so that
The work of keeping, defending and teaching the truth, making disciples of all nations continues!
Amen.
