Those Who Possess Power
(Is9:6; Lk9:1-2)

God is the God of power.
Power belongs to Him (Ps62:11) and
By His power He proclaims His name (Ex9:16).

Faith is longing and possessing the power of God in His name Yeshua (Ps89:8), and
The life of this faith is using the power in His name and breaking through any barrier in order to
participate in the power of His resurrection (Php3:10).

While people in the world strive to take hold of power
The Christian faith is putting effort to break through the countless spiritual beings that
Hard press them on each side (2Co4:8-9).

The Bible illustrates the power of God that
Gives life to the dead and calls into existence things that were not (Rm4:17) for
By His great power and might
He brought out the starry host one by one calling forth each of them by name (Is40:26).

In spite of his weaknesses Moses did the great work of the exodus of Israel from Egypt (Ex8:5-9, 23),
Passed through the Red Sea and defeated battles (Ex10:13, 17:9) because
He clung to the staff of the Almighty God in His name (Ex6:1-3; Rm4:17, 20).

The sanctuary reminded them of God’s might for His name’s sake (Ps106:8) and that
His might was with the ark (Ex25:18-20; 2Ch6:41).
So Israel looked up to the temple to seek His power (Ps63:2).
While some misunderstood where the power came from (1Sa4:4-11, 5:1-12),
Others like David and Elijah knew the power was in the name of the LORD (1Sa17:45; 1Ki18:24).

Israel awaited for the prophecy to be fulfilled:
The coming of a mighty King with His mighty scepter from Zion (Ps110:2; Da11:23),
In the name Mighty God (Is9:6), whose power would be hidden in Him (Hab3:4).

Yeshua came and said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days,” because
Through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body (Jn2:19-22),
He would be the mighty King coming with His mighty scepter in the Father’s name Yeshua (Jn5:43).
He is the God who came as man (Jn1:1, 14),
In Whom the fullness of Deity lives in bodily form (Col2:9).

By the power gone out from Him He healed the sick (Mt5:28-30; Lk6:17-19) and
Cast out invisible demons (Lk4:35), displaying that
He is mightier than the staff of Moses or the ark of the temple (Mt3:11) for
The power of the Spirit was with Him (Lk4:14).
He even gave power to the disciples to drive out demons and heal (Mt10:1; Mk3:15; Lk9:1)
Revealing to them that their names are written in the book of life (Lk10:17-20).

As He died, He said, “It is finished” (Jn19:30), declaring that He:
1) Following the Father’s command used the power hidden inside His flesh (Hab3:4) to die for
the power to live again (Jn10:18), glorifying the Father who alone is mighty to save Him (He5:7);
2) Condemned the devil the ruler of death (He2:15; 1Jn3:8); and
3) With His redeeming blood gave the power of life to all men (He7:16).

He resurrected and declared with power to be the Son of God (Rm1:4) and
Ascended to heaven and sat at the right hand of the Mighty One (Mt26:64).

The promised Spirit came to
Clothe believers with power from on high (Lk24:49), that is, the name Yeshua.

A disciple made by the Spirit is he who
Preaches the gospel to the ends of the earth
With boldness in spite of threats (Ac2:36-38; 4:29-31),
Not with persuasive words but
With a demonstration of the Spirit’s power (Ac19:11-12; 1Co2:4, 4:20).
By the power of the name Yeshua
He breaks through any disease or obstacle,

Driving out demons and laying his hand on the sick to heal (Mk16:17; Ac3:16) for He longs for the power of the resurrection of Christ be revealed in his body (Php3:10)
When the Lord returns riding on the clouds.

O Lord,
Whether an illness or fear we face especially during this pandemic
Let us be bold and be resolved to break through
In the name of Yeshua!
Let us cling on to the name and
Use the power wherever we go! Amen.
