Be Filled with the Holy Spirit
(Eph5:15-21)

God is the Potter (Is64:8).
According to His will He makes vessels (Rm9:19-24) and
He fills the vessels with His attributes and character to use them.

Faith is longing to become a vessel used by God and
The life of this faith is cleansing oneself to be filled with His things (2Ti2:20-21).

A vessel’s function is to contain, store and transport, and
Its value depends on what it contains.
More importantly, it must be clean to be used.

While Adam, the living being, was made with a body containing food and
Spirit to contain the Holy Spirit (Ge2:7),
Deceived by the devil, he sinned (Ge2:17, 3:4-6) and
The spirit became unclean and hell-bound with the devil (Mt25:41).

The exodus of Israel was the Potter shattering the old pot and
Forming another pot to use according to His purpose (Jer18:4-6).
The Law instructed them to clean their vessels, and
While all the vessels in the sanctuary were made with pure gold (Ex37:22)
They had to be sprinkled with blood to be cleansed (Is66:20; He9:21-22).
If anything dead touched a pot or if its lid was left open next to a human corpse,
Then such pot was considered unclean so it was to be broken (Lev11:31-33; Nu19:15).

The fall of Israel came as they became a pot that held impure things (Is65:4-5).
For once it would be smashed and not be repaired (Jer19:11),
God prophesied of forming another pot (Jer18:4-6).

Yeshua said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days,” because
Through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body (Jn2:19-21),
He would smash the old pot and form a new pot for
New wine must be poured into new wineskins (Mt9:17).

He drank the wine vinegar, and as He died He said, “It is finished” (Jn19:28-30), declaring that He:
1) Poured old wine, that is, sin, into His body (2Co5:21), and bursted the new wineskin, His body, the incarnate
Word (Jn1:1, 14), a vessel for honor (2Ti2:20), fulfilling the Father’s will (Mt26:39);
2) Judged the devil who changed (Is14:12-15; 1Jn3:8); and
3) Through His burst open flesh, full of grace and truth (Jn1:14), poured out His blood and cleansed all men so
that they may serve the living God (He9:13-14).

He resurrected and ascended to a new heaven sprinkled with His blood (He9:12, 24).
The Holy Spirit whom He sent came
Into the souls cleansed by the blood of Yeshua,
For new wine to be contained in new wineskin.
He lets them be full of new wine (Ac2:13; Eph5:18).

The man of the Spirit is
A vessel of mercy made through the righteousness by faith (Rm9:19-24, 30),
A jar of clay containing the greatest treasure, the blood of Yeshua (2Co4:7).
Like Yeshua’s sign of turning water into wine at a wedding banquet in Cana
Where the water was filled to the brim of the jars (Jn2:7-10),
Though a mere lump of clay, he strives to be like Yeshua (Gal5:22-25).
Therefore, to be used as a vessel of honor (2Ti2:20-21)

He empties himself of self-righteousness, knowledge, experiences (Php2:7-11), and
The love for the world (1Jn2:15-17).
By the fullness of the Spirit,
He is praised for his changed life (Ac6:3, 11:24) and speaks the word boldly (Ac4:3, 31).
He carries the gospel, and keeps, defends, and teaches the truth, and
Willingly fills up in the jar of clay suffering for Christ and His church (Col1:24).
He does not waste time (Ps90:12; Eph5:15-21) for
He longs to be full of the Spirit even as he dies (Ac7:55).

O Lord,
Though formerly a foreigner to the covenant of the promise, without hope and without God…
Though a mere jar of clay…
I now hold the greatest treasure of the blood of Yeshua! The name of Yeshua! The Truth!
I am so, so grateful…
O Lord, fill me to the brim with the Holy Spirit and
Mold me to be like Yeshua!
Let me save time, my greatest asset, and spend more time for my soul! Amen.
