God Will Not Surpass Righteousness
(Rm3:24-28)

God is righteous (Ps11:7).
He works righteousness (Ps103:6) and
His judgement is righteous (1Ki8:32; Ps119:7) and
He lets those who love and do righteousness dwell with Him (Pr15:9; 2Pe3:13).

Faith is believing Him and loving God’s righteous word (Ps119:123) and
The life of this faith is in order to see His face in righteousness after death (Ps17:15) walking the
way of righteousness (Pr8:20).

Righteousness, while in human standards refers to the quality of being morally true, is
According to the Bible the standard of being right in the eyes of God, the ultimate lawgiver (Is33:22).

God separates the righteous and the wicked by His word for
He decided the Word in the beginning to be the righteousness and judge by the Word (Jn1:1, 12:48).
In the end, the righteous will rise to live and the wicked will rise to be condemned (Jn5:29; Ac24:15).

Deceived by the devil, Adam the ancestor of all men
Disobeyed the command about the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil (Ge2:17. 3:4-6).
Consequently all men became slaves of the devil and became hell-bound with the devil (Mt25:41).

While the whole world and all mankind filled with wickedness perished in the deluge (Ge6:5-7)
Noah and his family were saved for Noah was righteous and was blameless in that time (Ge6:9).
This was the sign that “the righteous will live by faith” (Rm1:17).

The Law that Israel received from Jehovah was the righteous judgment:
It justified the righteous and condemned the wicked (Dt25:1); and
Even the righteous, if he did not keep doing righteous things, he was be killed as the wicked (Eze18:4, 33:13).

Despite the fact that Israel welcomed being a kingdom of priests (Ex19:6) and
Vowed to keep the LORD’s laws (Ex19:8; Ps119:62, 106, 164), however,
Because they did things that were not right they could not escape their destruction (2Ki17:9).

The Old Testament is about the Law and the Prophets (Ac28:23; Rm3:21).
No one living is righteous before God (Ps143:2; Rm3:10), and
Thus all men are sinners who must pay the price of their sins.

The book of Job demonstrates this:
Upon realizing that considering himself as righteous and defending his deeds (Job13:15-18)
Discredited God’s judgment (Job40:8), Job repented and thus his suffering finally ended (Job42:8).

Yeshua said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days,” because
Through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body (Jn2:19-21), 

He would judge not by the Law given through Moses to Israel in the name of Jehovah (Jn1:16)
But by His own words in the Father’s name Yeshua (Jn5:43, 12:47-48) for
He is the Word in the beginning, the righteousness, who came as man (Jn1:1-2, 14).
He was eventually passed over to death Hab1:13; Mk3:2-6)
By the Pharisees, the self-righteous whom Yeshua condemned (Lk18:11-14).

Treated as one of the wicked, Yeshua was crucified but as He died,
He said, “It is finished” (Jn19:30), declaring that He:
1) Testified the righteousness of the Father who did according to His word even though it was
harmful to Himself (Ge2:17; Is53:10-12; Rm3:25-26), and was confirmed as
the righteousness by dying according to the command (Jn10:18);
2) Judged the wicked one the devil (Ge3:4-6; 1Jn3:8); and
3) Through His one righteous act for the redemption of all men,
became the offering in righteousness (Ps51:19; Mal3:3; Rm5:18).

His resurrection is the confirmation that He is the righteousness.
He sat on the heavenly throne and became the righteous Judge (2Ti4:8; Rev15:4).
The Holy Spirit declares about the righteousness (Jn16:9):
By believing the blood of Yeshua those condemned under the Law are justified (Rm5:1, 9), and
There is no difference in this righteousness of God and the Law and Yeshua Christ (Rm3:20-22).

He who is justified freely by His grace through faith (Rm3:24),
In order to be saved on the day of God’s wrath (Rm2:5, 5:9)
Puts to death the evil desires of the flesh to escape sin (Rm6:11-13; He12:4; 2Pe2:20-22) and
Does the righteousness given through faith and sustains it (Ge15:5-6; Jas2:21-24; Rm10:10).
To receive the crown of righteousness when the righteous Judge appears
He is watchful, endures hardship, does the work of an evangelist (2Ti4:5-8).

O Lord,
The righteousness of God = the Law = Yeshua Christ = this faith that believes in Christ!
It is only by grace, by the act of God the righteous Judge alone that
This sinner can be pronounced to be righteous, having cleared all charges due me!
Let us always remember that God never surpasses righteousness.
Let us put every effort to dwell in righteousness! Amen.
