God Will Not Surpass Worship
(Ps29:2; Jn4:21-26)

God alone is exalted (Ps148:13).
He is higher than all gods (Ps135:5), the heavens (Job11:8), all the nations (Ps113:4),
All the peoples (Ps99:2) and
He lets those who worship Him in spirit and in truth see His face.

Faith is longing to seek His face (Ps17:15, 27:8) and
The life of this faith is to see His face in that day and live with Him forever (Rev22:1-5) giving
successful worship as one’s last (1Ch16:29).

Under monarchy people cannot ignore the order of precedence to see the face of the king.
The kingdom of heaven is a place where the One seated on the throne is worshipped
According to the eternal order of precedence (1Co15:41):
The thrones, living creatures, the saved souls, the Old Testament people, the angels (Rev4:2, 4, 10).

Worship (proskuneo) means “to see the face of God.”
For humans are creatures made to worship God
By their free will they can choose the object of their worship
But they cannot escape the consequence of making the wrong choice, that is, eternal hellfire.
This because their ancestor Adam who was deceived by the devil sinned (Ge3:4-6) and
God hid His face from him (Ge4:14; Ps10:11).

The Bible records the history of worship:
The first worship: the sacrifice of Abel who gave a better worship than Cain (He11:4);
The instructed worship: the sacrifice, the place, the time etc were all instructed, according to
which Abraham gave his only son and succeeded worship (Ge22:2-13);
The worship following regulations: the Israelites, a people seeking the face of Jehovah (Ge32:30; Ps24:6, 105:4)
gave sacrifice according to the specific regulations regarding the time, the place, the sacrifice etc,
though they were all external regulations, only a copy or a shadow of the true in heaven (He9:1-10).

However, Israel rushed down the path to their destruction
As the people worshipped the sun, the moon and the stars (Jer8:2)
While the priests considered giving sacrifice to God burdensome (Is1:13) and
Even cheated God of the offerings (Mal1:6-13).

Yeshua said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days,” because
Through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body (Jn2:19-21),
He would show the face of not Jehovah but the Father (Jn14:9)
For not only Israel but all nations and peoples to worship Him (Is66:23; Rev15:4).
As such, not being tempted by the devil He declared to worship the Father alone (Mt4:9-10).

The most admirable person in the Bible would be
The Samaritan woman who longed and longed to worship to God for
She saw the face of Christ directly (Jn4:6-26),
He who commanded worship in the beginning,
The One who seeks those who worship in spirit and in truth.
In spirit — the Northern Kingdom — Israel — the 10 tribes — centered in Bethel;
In truth — the Southern Kingdom — Judah — the tribe of Judah — centered in Jerusalem.

As He died, the temple veil tore for the shroud of God was uncovered (Is25:7), and
Yeshua said, “It is finished” (Jn19:30), declaring that He:
1) By giving the body of the one and only Son, the greatest sacrifice (He10:5-10), testified that the Father is above all gods (Ps135:5);
2) Judged the devil who attempted to exalt himself (Is14:12-15; Mt4:9); and
3) Let the souls who received the sprinkling of His blood worship Him (Eph1:7).

He resurrected and ascended to heaven.
He is seated on the throne, the One who lives for ever and ever (Rev1:18) and
Twenty-four elders, living creatures, angels bow down and worship Him forever (Rev4:10, 7:11).

The Holy Spirit lets believers offer their bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God
Through spiritual worship (Rm12:1):
On the Lord’s Day — the first day after the sabbath (Ac20:7; Rev1:10, 11:19);
In the church gathered in the name Yeshua as the Head (Mt18:20; 1Co11:18; Eph1:22-23);
With praise (Ps22:3, 100:2, 4), offerings (Dt16:16; Ps96:8), serving (Col3:24); and
Seek the face of the King of kings — with the heart, the body, the posture, the attitude etc fit for the King.

By giving such worship they are able to overcome persecution, troubles or oppression,
As they long to see His face and worship Him forever (Rev22:3-4).

O Lord,
Like the sinful woman who ran into the place where You were and fell at Your feet,
Washing them with her perfume oil and her tears…
We, the Church of Jesus, all members, want to give You the greatest worship on earth!
We want to give worship that is moving, filled with tears and joy.
We want to give our best and final worship, every time. Amen.
