The Holy Spirit Is He Who Prays
(Rm8:26-28; Eph6:18)
God is merciful (Ps59:7).
He has mercy on the weak and
He has mercy on those who love His name (Ps119:132).
Faith is knowing one’s own weakness (Ps119:25) and loving the name of God.
The life of this faith is seeking in accordance with the will of God by
The help of the Spirit (Rm8:26-28),
As religiosity is praying to even an unknown god (Ac17:23).
While prayer is the act of speaking with and asking the transcendent and
It is something that all religious people do,
The Bible says that God does not listen to just anyone’s prayer for
He has mercy on whom He has mercy (Ex33:19).
The Law instructed to show no pity to the foreigners, the worshippers of other gods,
The murderers etc and destroy them (Dt7:16, 13:8, 19:11-19).
While God did not spare angels when they sinned (2Pe2:4),
He showed mercy on Adam when he sinned (Ge3:4-6, 24)
For he is a living being, attached to a lump of dust (Ps103:14, 119:25).
When Cain had sinned and pleaded regarding the punishment he would face
God gave him a mark so he would not die (Ge4:13-15);
To the Israelites who cried out in their slavery of 400 years,
God sent Moses to deliver them (Ex2:22-24).
Nevertheless, even for the Israelites who received God’s compassion (Dt30:3)
The window for praying to God was limited:
The people cried out to Moses and Moses prayed to God (Ex15:23-25; Nu11:1-2).
The sanctuary where the name of Jehovah and the censer of incense was (Lev16:12-13)
Reminded them of this order of prayer for generations so
Anyone challenging this order was punished even to death (Nu12:10-15, 16:1-50).
Consequently, the people asked the prophets,
“Pray to the LORD your God” (1Sa7:8-9, 12:19; 2Ki19:4).
However, Yeshua said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days,” because
Through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body (Jn2:19),
He would abolish the intercession of the prophets and
Give the name of Yeshua to believers to pray directly (Jn14:13-14).
So He taught how to pray (Mt6:5-13; Lk11:1-2):
To your heavenly Father,
From Yeshua’s intercessory prayer (Jn17:1-26) —> the Lord’s Prayer (Mt6:9-13) —>
Yeshua’s prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane (Mt26:39),
Summarized as, to deny one’s own will and seek in accordance to the Father’s will.
As He died, He said, “It is finished” (Jn19:30), declaring that He:
1) Fulfilled the Father’s will (Jn10:18);
2) Judged the devil (Is14:12-15; Eze28:12-17); and
3) Shed His redeeming blood and show mercy on all mankind (He8:12).
He resurrected and sat on the heavenly throne.
He is the Lamb who eternally has the scars of God’s mercy.
The Holy Spirit who came in the name of Yeshua (Jn14:26)
Helps believers in their weakness (Rm8:26-28)
By teaching them what to ask for.
The man of the Spirit is he who
Loves the name of Yeshua
So unlike the religious
He cries out to the Father in heaven on top of his lungs (Mt23:9; Rm8:15-16) and
Prays sincerely for the success of the Father's kingdom (Mt6:33),
For the Father’s will to be done (Jn6:29, 39-40),
To be content with daily bread and
Live this day not be shameful of his daily bread (Jn4:34).
O Lord,
Father~~~ Yeshua~~~
For one more tongue to confess Yeshua is Lord and
For one more knee to bow before the name of Yeshua (Php2:9-12)…
This is my prayer until my last breath! Amen.
