The Presence of the Holy Spirit
(Ac10:44-48)

God is the present God.
He is yesterday, today and forever (Rev1:8), and He is everywhere (Ps114:7; Jer23:24).
He shelters with His presence those who testify Him (Rev7:14).

Faith is believing Him and
The life of this faith is living before the presence of God, that is, before Him who is present here
As people's speech and behavior differ greatly
Depending on whether someone is present or not.

Although after he sinned, Adam was afraid and hid from God's presence (Ge3:8-10),
He confessed his current position at God’s voice calling him (“Here I am”).

Abraham, Jacob, and Moses all heard the voice of God (Ge22:1, 11, 28:1-17; Ex3:4) and
Confessed that they were in the presence of God and
Became men of faith.

While God called out their descendants Israel to show His presence,
The sight of thick clouds, smoke, fire, and trumpet sounds made them tremble (Ex19:3-20).
For the name of God to be there forever,
For His eyes and His heart would always be there (2Ch7:16),
God commanded them to build the sanctuary.
When the cloud of His glory covered it,
Moses and the priests all trembled and fell (Ex40:34; 1Ki8:10-11).

Curse fell on Israel, however, because they drove God far from His sanctuary
By doing detestable things there (Eze8:6).

Yeshua said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days,” because
Through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body (Jn2:19),
He would show the One who is greater than the temple (Mt12:6, 41-42), that is,
The present God who came in flesh, the Son of Man (Jn1:1, 14).
As such, wherever He was
Even the boat that was hit by a storm was safe (Mk4:37-40),
The dead rose (Mk5:35-42; Jn11:33-44),
With two fish and five loaves of bread 5,000 were fed and had remainders.
Yet He was rejected by the Jews who saw Him as just a human (Mk6:3).

As He died, He said, “It is finished” (Jn19:30), declaring that He:
1)    Fulfilled the Father’s will made before the creation (Jn10:18; He10:7);
2)    Destroyed the works of the devil (1Jn3:8); and
3)    With His body redeemed the sin of all men, and shed His eternal blood so mankind could now live before God’s presence.

He resurrected and entered the true heaven, now to appear in God’s presence (He9:24).
He opened the way for those who
By His blood could come to God through Him (He7:24-25, 10:20).

The Holy Spirit whom He sent came to the Church,
The gathering in the name of Yeshua (Mt18:20; Ac2:1-4),
The presence of the Holy Spirit (Ac10:33, 44-48).

Worship is the site where those who are ashamed and afraid
Come and confess, “Here I am,” before Yeshua Christ who sits on the throne,
Where there is forgiveness, healing, comfort, and peace.
He lets those who forgot what they should always remember
On the Lord’s Day remember and return to His presence.

The man of the Spirit is he who always lives before His presence by
Daily praying (Mt6:6), obeying His command, and testifying that Yeshua lives
So on the day when the Lord appears a second time (He9:28)
He is presented as blameless and holy before His presence (1Th3:13; Jude1:24-25) and
Be brought before the throne of God to serve Him there forever (Rev7:15).

O Lord,
In that day when the Lord appears in the air
Let us all go before You and
Shout, “Here we are..in Your presence!”  Amen.
