He who is I AM

He who is I AM
(Jn 1:1-3; Jn 8:56-59)

God is I AM(Ex 3:14).
He exists by Himself and
He makes will and does accordingly by Himself.

Faith is acknowledging Him and surrendering to live on one’s autonomy and
The life of this faith is strictly living by His word.

People love the concept of “freedom, ” “independence, ” “autonomy, ” “nature” etc, which
Refers to being on one’s own, by oneself.
Such concept, however, especially “nature, ” is unbiblical if not Satanic because
All things are by God and through God(He 2:10).
As such, God does not acknowledge religion since it is generated naturally.
He does not forgive suicide because it is a way out on man’s own terms.

Sin is being deceived to think a creation can live on its own, and
The origin of sin is the devil who, in heaven
Wanted to be like God and left his proper domain, position on his own(Is 14:12-15).
Subsequently, he was kept in darkness, bound with everlasting chains for
Judgment on the great Day(Jude 1:6).

Deceived by the devil,
Adam listened to Eve who sinned by wanting to be like God(Ge 3:4-6), and
Ate the forbidden fruit, as a result of which
They were banished from the Garden(Ge 3:24).

“Israel” is the name that Jacob received
After wresting with an angel at Jabbok(Ge 32:22-30).
He who had strived to live on his own received
The name to live by God’s help.

The Israelites who left Egypt by I AM were
Brought into the desert(Ex 3:14) to be tested
The limits of such stiff-necked people living on their own(Dt 8:14-16).

Though the Law and the sanctuary reminded them this(Ex 20:2),
They did not seek God even in the midst of wars and plagues,
Because of which they collapsed(2Ch 16:12-13; Is 30:1-3).

Jesus said, “Destroy the temple and I will raise it again in three days”(Jn 2:19-21), because
Through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body,
He would show that He is I AM(Jn 8:56), for
He is the Word in the beginning who
Came in the very nature of a servant, in flesh(Jn 1:14, Php 2:7-8).

As He died, Jesus said, “It is finished”(Jn 19:30), declaring that He:
1. Died according to the command and acknowledged the Father who is I AM(Jn 10:18);
2. Judged the devil, the origin of sin(1Jn 3:8); and
3. Redeemed all men who sinned because of the limits of the flesh(1Pe 1:18-19).
The Father raised Him and He ascended to the heavenly throne, and
He sent the Holy Spirit(Ac 2:32-33) who
Comes to the hearts of the poor who have
Neither the qualification to be saved by their righteousness
Nor the strength of their own to live(Mt 5:3).

The men of Spirit are those who:
1. Deny themselves and live by trusting the word(Lk 5:5);
2. Know that there is no other way but prayer in the name Jesus(Mt 5:3); and
3. Never leave the church on their own(Jn 15:5-6; Ac 13:1-4) for
It is their hope to be raised among the dead in the last day.

O Lord,
Let my thoughts never surpass the Holy Spirit.
Let me live only by prayer and only by the word!
Let me remain in the church! Amen.
