To the Point of Shedding Your Blood

God is the glorious Father (Eph1:17).
He gives birth gloriously to children and
Gives glorious inheritance to them (Eph1:18).

For glory belongs to only the victors,
Those in the world build themselves up with physical strength, military forces and economic power,
Also putting effort to increase in wisdom.
The Bible says that, however, victory rests in God alone (Pr21:31).

Faith is acknowledging this and
The life of this faith is resisting to the point of shedding blood and overcoming.

Since Adam, the ancestor of mankind, lost the battle of words against the serpent (Ge3:4; 2Pe2:19),
All men became defeated destined to live in toil and shame (Ge3:16-19).

Israel has a unique history of wars (Nu21:14) for
When they followed God’s strategy and instructions
Even with inferior strength they won a great victory (Ex14:14; 2Ch20:17).

The temple where the name of Jehovah (2Ch6:20) was
Reminded and warranted them this victory,
While the prophecy of the coming king of glory gave them hope (Ps24:7-10).

Thus, when Yeshua said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days” (Jn2:19),
The Jews who had longed for the king to defeat other nations and restore their own (Ac1:6) became
Upset and even disappointed so they passed Him over to death (Mt27:33).
What He meant, however, was that through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body,
He would fight to death and overcome the prince of the world (Jn16:11, 33), for
This was the strategy of God in the beginning (Jn1:1, 14; 1Co1:18-21).

As He died, Yeshua said, “It is finished” (Jn19:30), declaring that He:
1) Willingly chose the path to death to the point of shedding His blood, enduring pain and
shame for the joy set before Him, and giving glory to the Father (Jn10:17-18; He12:2; Php2:6-11);
2) Condemned and disarmed the devil who attempted to steal the glory of God (Is14:12-15; Col2:15; Rev12:7-9); and
3) Delivered all those in toil and shame for losing to the devil and gave birth to them gloriously (He2:14-15).

He resurrected and ascended to the heavenly throne from where
He reigns forever in glory as the Prince as Savior (Ac5:31).

The Holy Spirit who comes in the name of Yeshua
Lets those who believe think deeply of His blood (He12:3-4) for
The way of the cross is the strategy of God to overcome (1Co1:18-21).

The Christian is he who has
The duty to resist to the point of shedding his blood and overcome by enduring.
Therefore, as a good soldier of Christ (2Ti2:3), he puts every effort to resist:
The devil, deceiving spirits and demons (Mk3:15; 1Ti4:1; Jas4:7);
The world, his family (Mt10:34-36; 1Jn2:15-17);
Fleshly desire (Rm8:8), shame (Is53:7), and discipline (He12:7).
For he looks forward to the day of glory set before him,
He does not grow weary or lose heart (He12:11) but
Presses on to endure and finish the race until receiving the crown of glory (2Ti4:7-8; Rev2:3, 3:10).

O Lord,
How we have fallen so easily looking at others and our circumstances!
Give us the power to pray so we can break through our limits and weaknesses.
Give us the strength to endure to the end! Amen.
