The Choice of My Soul
(Dt30:19; Lk10:38-42)

God has His own will.
According to His will, He chooses, abandons, blesses, or curses (Dt30:19; Jer6:19).
He guarantees those who choose what is better (Lk10:42).

Faith is choosing what God is pleased by and
The life of this faith is denying oneself and walking the way of the truth (Mt16:24).

If the success and failure of man depends on what he chooses every moment of his life,
How much more critical is the choice of my soul that decides either eternal life or eternal punishment!

Satan, who was given by God the “seal of perfection,” that is, free will (Eze28:12, 15),
Misused it when he attempted to be like God and was thus cast down to Hades
Until the great day of judgment (Is14:12-15).

Deceived by him, the devil, Adam committed the same sin (Ge2:17, 3:4-6), and was
Cast out of the Garden of Eden, following the same fate (2Pe2:19).

Despite the fact that God sent Moses and brought the Israelites out of their slavery in Egypt,
Once in the desert, they grumbled and complained for it was not their choice (Ex14:10-12).
Before crossing the Jordan, however, they chose to serve Jehovah as their God (Jos24:15, 22), and

The Law guaranteed life and prosperity according to their choice (Dt30:15-16, 19-20)
While it also guaranteed for the Hebrew servant who could choose on his own (Ex21:5-6; Dt15:16-17).

The sanctuary where the name of Jehovah and
The stone tablets were placed inside the testimony reminded them of this.

Nevertheless, they rejected God as their king and instead chose a man as their king (1Sa8:18-22),
Also because they chose their own ways , their abominations, God chose harsh treatment for them (Is66:3-4).

Yeshua said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days” (Jn2:19), because
Through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body,
He would free all men from sin and death, and become their Lord, their God, their King.
But the Jews chose Barabbas instead of Yeshua (Mt27:25-26).

However, as He died, He said, “It is finished” (Jn19:30), declaring that He:
1) Willingly chose death according to the Father’s will and delighted Him as His chosen servant
(Is42:1; Mt3:17; Jn10:17-18);
2) Judged the devil, the origin of sin (1Jn3:8); and
3) With His blood paid the price of Adam’s sin (Mt20:28), the result of his bad choice, and gave
another chance for all souls to choose.

His resurrection and the heavenly throne are
The fruit of the choice that He made.

The Holy Spirit whom He sent
Comes to testify Yeshua in those who willingly chose to believe (Jn1:12) for
Receiving the gospel, repentance, baptism etc are all by one’s choice (Ac2:36-39).

The Christian is he who
Confesses that Yeshua is his Lord, his God and his King (Jn20:28; Ac17:3), and
Made the choice to willingly serve and worship Him (Lk10:42),
Belongs to the church as a member of the community that shares His fate (Jn15:4-6; Col1:24), and
Denies himself to re-live the life of Christ (Mt16:24).
Therefore, even if he faces poverty, hardship, persecution, isolation or even death
He rejoices for it is the choice of his own soul (Mt5:10-12, 7:13-14; Rm8:17-18).

O Lord,
In my past I have made countless choices for which
I regretted and regretted.
But on the day my life ends on earth
My soul will rejoice and rejoice over the choice it made! Amen.
