My Soul’s Family
(Mt12:46-50)

God is the Father of spirits (He12:9).
He gives birth to children through the word of truth (Jas1:18), and
He nurtures them with love.

Faith is knowing the father of my soul as well as the brothers of my soul and
The life of this faith is loving them as oneself until arriving in the Father’s house in heaven.

Compared to other relationships,
The family tie is the strongest for blood is thicker than water, for it is of flesh and blood.
Consequently, wars between tribes, groups and nations do not cease.
However, people still love, trust and even sacrifice for their family.

Since Adam sinned because of his wife, who was deceived by the serpent (Ge2:17, 3:4-6),
All men put effort to keep their blood line, creating the family (Ge3:16).

The Bible illustrates men’s unhappy events originating from the tensions between brothers:
Cain and Abel, Isaac and Ishmael, Jacob and Esau, Joseph and his brothers etc.

Nevertheless, since the day Israel left Egypt,
Starting with the Passover lamb (Ex12:21)
To taking the census, marching, destruction and even salvation were
All done by their clans and families (Nu1:2, 16:32, 27:2; Jos2:18).

The Law which Israel received is also called, “the spirit of slave” to fear (Rm8:15) for
On the one hand, it commanded that they love their neighbors as themselves (Lev19:18; Gal5:14),
While on the other hand, when anyone sins
They were to put him to death even if he was one’s own brother (Ex32:27-28; Rm6:23).

The sanctuary where the stone tablets were placed
Reminded them of this ideology and command regarding their bloodline, their family.

Yeshua said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days” (Jn2:19), because
Through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body,
He would give birth to all souls of men in His blood and
Establish a family that is not of flesh but of spirit and make spiritual brothers (Jn3:3-7; 1Jn5:6-8).
Furthermore, rather than earthly perishable family ties (Lk9:59-62),
He stressed the importance of spiritual brothers made by the heavenly Father (Mt6:9-12).

As He died, Jesus said, “It is finished” (Jn19:30), declaring that He:
1) Loved the Father, for which He laid down His life according to the command,
perfecting the Law to love Him (Jn10:17, 14:31);
2) Condemned the devil the divider (1Jn3:8); and
3) Became an atoning sacrifice for all men fulfilling the Law to love neighbors as oneself (Jn15:12-13; 1Co5:7).

He rose and entered ahead into heaven and sat down on the throne,
Becoming the heavenly Father of all spirits.

The Holy Spirit comes to the souls born again in the blood of Yeshua and the church.
He lets them know of their new family, their new brothers (Rm8:14-16; He2:11-12).

Brothers follow their birth order not a hierarchy for
They share the same condition, the same purpose and the same destination (He2:11).
Therefore, they can love one another as themselves (Mt22:39) by
Infinitely forgiving each other (Mt5:21-24, 18:22),
Helping with materials the brothers in need (1Jn3:16),
Comforting the brothers in suffering (Mt25:25-36),
Supporting the churches in need (2Co8:1, 14), and
Seeking the runaway brothers (Lk15:12-13)
Until arriving in the Father’s house (Jn14:2).

O Lord,
Yeshua, Our Father in heaven!
Let me love my spiritual brothers like myself and
Please give faith to my fleshly brothers so that they, too, can become
My eternal brothers in the blood of Christ! Amen.
