I Have Been Called

God is the God of grace (Ex33:19).
By His grace He calls (Ga1:15) and
Into grace He calls (Gal1:6).

For the fate of the called depends on
Who called, why he called and to where he called,
Faith is knowing God’s calling itself as grace and
The life of this faith is living by grace until going before the throne of grace (He4:16).

The Bible contains stories of God’s calling and those who responded to His calling.
Because Adam, who had sinned, answered when God called him (Ge3:9),
God clothed him in a garment of skin before banishing him from the Garden (Ge3:2-24),
A sign of His calling again in the future.
When Cain pleaded to God fearing the punishment of his sin,
He received a mark of salvation from God (Ge4:9-15).
By contrast, God did not spare the angels when they sinned once
But held them until judgment and punishment (2Pe2:4).

After being called from the burning bush on Horeb (Ex3:4),
Moses was sent to bring the Israelites out of their slavery in Egypt.
God commanded him to build the sanctuary.
The ark of the Lord, the mercyseat was placed inside of the Most Holy Place (1Sa3:3-14),
God’s holy dwelling where His calling was (Jer25:30).
Samuel was the first prophet who was called from there.

Yeshua said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days,” for which
He was hated by those who had longed for the day
When the Lord will call back their people scattered among the gentiles (Is54:5-7; Eze11:16-17).
However, through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body (Jn2:19-20).
Yeshua would call not by the name Jehovah but Yeshua the Father’s name (Jn5:43)
Not just Israel but the souls of all men.

While He called not the righteous but sinners (Mt9:13) and
Those He wanted and made them disciples (Mk3:13),
He denied those who volunteer to follow Him without being called (Lk9:57-58) and
Warned about those who are not fit to be called (Mt22:1-14).

As He died, Yeshua said, “It is finished” (Jn19:30), declaring that He:
1) Went before the throne of grace that the Father prepared for Him, dressed in a robe dipped in blood (He1:1; Rev19:13);
2) Judged the devil who approached the throne on his own (Is14:12-15; Jude6); and
3) By grace redeemed all men (Eph1:7) and let them prepare their sprinkled robes (Rev22:14).

He resurrected, ascended to heaven and sat on the throne there (He4:16),

The holy dwelling from where He calls those He wants.

The Holy Spirit and the bride the church call whomever and
Let those who received His blood know that His calling is grace (Ac2:38-39; Rev22:17).

The Christian who knows the calling for a wretch like him is by His grace
Also knows that he was called to the banquet of the Lamb before the cross on Calvary and
Has eaten the flesh and drank the blood of Yeshua.
Until he is called a second time into His grace
Dressed in fine linen for the wedding of the Lamb prepared as His bride (Rev19:7-8),
He takes up his cross lightly (Mt11:28-30)
By the strength of the grace that He received.

O Lord,
When You called Peter the fisherman,
It was a calling to the cross!
Let us know that Your calling is death, resurrection, wedding banquet and grace itself.
Lord, did You call me?
The blood of Yeshua that is alive in me 365 days!
By the strength of Your grace,
Let me carry my cross lightly
Until I am called a second time. Amen.
