All Things Are the Lord’s
(Rm11:35-36)

God is the One who formed all things (Jer10:16), their Maker (Is44:24).
All things come from Him, through Him and to Him (Rm11:36).
He is God over all things and puts all things in subjection under him (Rm9:5; 1Co15:28).

Faith is acknowledging Him and submitting before Him and
The life of this faith is about being above all things and bringing all things in subjection under.

While all men seek money, fame, happiness, life, breath, thrones, powers etc,
All things, visible or invisible, belong to the Lord (Hag2:8; Ac17:25; Col1:16).

As the Bible demonstrates the principle of possessing all things
The heavens and the earth, which God created by His word, exist to this day
For they are His servants and they listen to His voice (Ps119:91; He1:3).

The tragedy of mankind, however, was that Adam did not obey the word of God (Ge2:17).
Instead he listened to the word of the serpent and sinned (Ge3:4-6) and
Became a slave with all things also going under the devil (Ge3:19; 2Pe2:19).

When the Israelites left Egypt (Ex12:35-36),
God let them take Egypt’s gold, silver, jewels and garments for
They were no longer the servants of the pharaoh.
When they became the servants of Jehovah
They were given the commandments and the statutes (Dt10:13).

In the sanctuary where the name Jehovah was
They were to observe the feasts and
Bring offerings in proportion to the way the Lord blessed them (Dt16:15-17).
They were give a tenth of everything from the land (Lev27:30).

In spite of such reminder that all things belonged to the Lord,
The people and the priests forsook the Lord and thus
The prophet warned them of the curse (Mal1:6-10, 2:3).

Yeshua said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days,” because
Through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body (Jn2:19-22),
He would reveal that He is the Maker who came to His own world (Jn1:3, 9-10).
By His word He put all things in subjection under: the winds and the waves (Mt8:26-27),
The man with leprosy (Mt8:3), the demons (Mk1:25-26), the dead (Mt8:41-42; Jn11:43:44) etc for
He is above all for He is the One who comes from above (Jn3:31).

As such, He refused to be made a king (Jn6:15) and
Did not perform any sign for Himself (Mk11:13-14).

As He died, He said, “It is finished” (Jn19:30), declaring that He:
1) Willingly made Himself be subjected to the Father who puts
all things in subjection under Him (Jn10:17-18; 1Co15:27-28);
2) Judged the devil who left his own position of authority, his proper dwelling (Is14:12-15; Jude1:6); and
3) With His blood redeemed all souls and established the order of all things:
“all things < you < Christ < God” (1Co3:23).

He resurrected and lifted up higher than all the heavens (Eph4:10),
Sat on the heavenly throne, putting all things under His feet forever (He2:8).

The Holy Spirit whom He sent
Lets the Church and believers know that
Yeshua is the Maker of all things, the One over all things.

The Christian is he who submits himself
Before the One who put all things in subjection under Him,
So that he also has the power to put all things under him.
Thus he does not struggle under all things, does not become shameful before all things.
Rather, he confidently calls by his word and all things fall before his feet.
Likewise, before the power of the world
The Church does not become lowly, beg or compromise for
Her head is He who is above all things and fills everything in every way (Eph1:22-23).
The Christian longs for the work of Him who put all things under Him to
Transform his lowly body to become like the glorious body of the Lord (Php3:20-21).

O Lord,
Whether there is profit or gain in my life,
All to Yeshua I surrender!
Let me surpass all things in the world and
Surrender all to You, Lord! Amen.
