Refresh the Soul of the Master
(Pr25:13; Rm10:13-15)

God is the Lord of salvation (He2:10).
With His blood He redeems souls and becomes their Owner (Ac20:28) and
He finally saves those who proclaim the beautiful gospel (Ps40:9, 52:7).

Faith is believing that salvation is found in no one else (Ac4:12) and
The life of this faith is becoming a faithful messenger to the One who sent him and refreshing
the soul of the Master.

Good news is like a snow-cooled drink at harvest time and
It is victory news from a battlefield, a family member’s return from captivity,
The runaway child returning home,
Those who desperately wait for the news of being found innocent from wrongful convictions.

The Bible is the writing of God’s angst as
He waits for the news of deliverance from Hades (Da6:20) for
The ancestor of all men Adam sinned and became slave to the devil (Ge3:4-6).
With the devil all men became locked up in the universe which will become the lake of fire (Mt25:41).

Nevertheless, God’s history of saving mankind began with a copy:
To rescue the Israelites from their slavery
God sent His messenger Moses to Egypt (Ex3:14) and
Through the signs he performed God brought the pharaoh to his knees.

The sanctuary reminded them of Moses the messenger of Jehovah and the exodus.
In spite of it, however, they had forgotten God the Savior, because of which
Their defeat continued and finally their fall came (Jer4:19-23).

Yet there was an encouraging prophecy of
God giving One who would bring good news to Jerusalem (Is40:9, 41:27. 61:1).

Yeshua said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days” (Jn2:19), because
Through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body,
He would reveal that He is the Savior who was
Sent to rescue souls from Hades (Lk1:69, 77, 2:30, 3:6, 4:33).
He showed the signs of His salvation by healing many sick (Mt9:22).

As He died in the midst of those who mocked Him to save Himself and others (Mt27:40),
Yeshua said, “It is finished’ (Jn19:30), declaring that:
1) The One who alone could save Him from death is the Father (He5:7);
2) Judged the evil messenger the devil and sent the Father the victory news (Ge3:4-6; Pr25:19);
3) Sprinkled His blood and proclaimed the salvation of mankind (Eph1:7).

He resurrected and sat on the heavenly throne,
Becoming the source of eternal salvation (He5:9; Rev1:5).

The Holy Spirit whom He sent
Sends out those who are saved by believing in the Lord Yeshua (Rm10:13)
As ambassadors of Christ (2Co5:20).

The Christian is a faithful messenger,
A snow-cooled drink who refreshes the soul of their Master (Pr25:13), and
Cold water to the weary soul (Pr25:25).
Without delay he delivers the truth accurately to the ends of the earth,
Regarding the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ (Rm10:9) and
The good news of salvation by believing.
Compelled by the Spirit (Eph6:19-20),
If he does not preach the gospel he feels anguished in his heart (Jer2:9; 1Co9:16) for
He knows the heart of the Father who waits impatiently at the heavenly gates to this day
For His children to return alive (2Sa18:24-33).

O Lord,
Like the nameless mighty warriors who broke through their enemy’s lines
To draw water from the well to refresh the heart of their king
Let us risk our lives to fresh the soul of the Lord and become nameless messengers! Amen.
