Remember the Lord
(Is46:8-9; Jn14:24-26)

God is love (1Jn4:8).
For those whom He loves He gives Himself (Gal2:20) and
Prepares an eternal dwelling place (Jn14:2).

Faith is being moved by His love and loving Him, and
The life of this faith is thinking of Yeshua and living by remembering His word.

People think about their loved ones the most and
Remember their words the longest and so
Their wills tend to be remembered a long time.
With time, however, they become faint and eventually fade away for
No memory in the human brain can be retained forever.

The Bible is the testament of God given to those whom He loves and
As such it is comprised of the Old Testament and the New Testament.

Israel was called the holy people of God (Dt14:21) for
They were a people with a holy remembrance (Ps97:12).
Their year consisted of an array of feasts which
Reminded them of the fact that the LORD God was their Redeemer (Ps78:35) for
He redeemed them while they were slaves in Egypt (Dt15:15),
Rescued them from the hands of all their enemies on every side (Jdg8:34), and
Let them endure in the wilderness for 40 years (Dt8:2) and
Gave them the ability to produce wealth (Dt8:18, 24:17, 32:7).

In spite of having in their midst the sanctuary where the name Jehovah was and
To remember for generations (Ex3:15, 20:24; 2Ch6:5),
They were destroyed for they served other gods (Is46:8-9) and
Even built monuments for themselves (1Sa15:12; 2Sa18:18).

Yeshua said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days,” because
Through the suffering, the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body (Mt16:21; Jn2:19),
He would let souls remember not the name Jehovah but the Father’s name Yeshua (Jn5:43), and
The Father’s words, that is, His words (Jn14:24-26).

As He died, He said, “It is finished” (Jn19:30), declaring that He:
1) Died according to the Father’s command and enforced His will (Jn10:18; He9:16-17);
2) Judged the devil who caused men to forget the word of God (Ge3:4-6; Jn8:44); and
3) Gave His flesh and blood for the forgiveness of sins to the souls whom He loves
(Mt26:26-28; Lk22:19-20).

The stone, the seal and the soldiers before the grave were all
The efforts for the world to forget Him.
However, Yeshua broke through the grave and resurrected and ascended to heaven.
He eternally bears the marks on His body as the memory of His death (Rev5:6).

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of remembrance who
Bears the suffering of Yeshua as memory and
He lets the souls saved by the blood of Yeshua
Remember the name Yeshua, who in their place
Received suffering, pains, shame, contempt on the cross (Tit2:14).
Furthermore, He reminds them of the words of Yeshua (Jn14:26),
His last outcry from the cross.

The Christian is moved by the love of God (Mt27:46) that
Forgave the sins of all men (Lk23:34; 1Jn4:10) and
Prepared paradise for anyone who seeks to enter (Lk23:43).
To be the soul received by God on that last day (Lk23:46)
He clings onto the Bible which Yeshua guaranteed (Jn19:28),
Loves his brothers and sisters made by the blood of Yeshua (Jn19:26-27) and
Goes to the ends of the earth to make disciples of all nations (Mt28:19-20) so that
They may know the love of God.

O Lord,
Not only do I have the memory of Your suffering by the Holy Spirit but
Because of that memory I am able to project forward into the future when
You will come back to take me to the Father’s house!
Let me remember every hour, every minute, every second
Only Yeshua, only the words of Yeshua! Amen.
