The Disciples of Yeshua
(Mt4:18-22, 28:16-20)

God is the Lord.
All things are through Him, by Him, and for Him (Col1:16).
To those who follow Him He gives eternal life (Lk18:28-30).

Faith is knowing Him and following Him and
The life of this faith is laying down all and following the Lord until the end.

In all fields such as academia, literature, arts, religions etc
Those who adhere to the teaching of an individual are called disciples.

The Bible indicates that, aside from “the Twelve” of Yeshua,
There were those who were baptized and followed Him (Jn6:66; Ac2:41), and
There were women who were also called disciples,
Such as Tabitha who always did good and helped the poor (Ac9:36).
Yet without becoming a disciple one cannot make disciples.

In the eyes of the world, the disciples of Yeshua were
Unschooled, ordinary men (Ac4:13) who were runaways, even dying a premature death.
While no one would admire them, however,
They were those whom Yeshua wanted (Mk3:13).
He gave them the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven (Mt13:11), and
The authority to drive out demons (Mt10:1),
He loves them to the end (Jn13:1),
He is with them always, to the very end of the age (Mt28:20) and
He promised them the Father’s house and the thrones in heaven (Mt19:28; Jn14:3).

Since their ancestor Adam sinned and became a slave to the devil (Ge3:4-6; 2Pe2:19),
All men became destined to follow the devil to hell (Mt25:41).

The Israelites whom God chose as His people
Followed Moses and left Egypt,
Followed the pillars of fire and of clouds and
Passed through the Red Sea and the wilderness (Ex14:24; Nu14:14),
Followed the ark and passed through the Jordan,
Finally entering Canaan (Nu10:33; Jos3:14).

The sanctuary where the ark was
Reminded them that Jehovah was their Lord.

Yeshua said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days,”
Because through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body (Jn2:19-20),
He would turn their direction from the temple to Himself (Mt4:17) so that
They would follow Him to the Father’s house (Jn14:2).
As such, He said to them, “Follow Me” (Mt4:18-20).
But those who followed Him seeing His signs turned back and no longer followed Him (Jn6:66),
While even His disciples who followed Him for the words of eternal life (Lk18:18-23; Jn6:68)
All ran once He was arrested.

However, as He died alone, He said, “It is finished” (Jn19:30), declaring that He:
1) Died according to the Father’s command and entrusted His soul to the Father (Jn10:18);
2) Condemned the devil who misled all men (Ge3:4-6; 1Jn3:8); and
3) With His blood redeemed souls and they became alive (Rm6:11).

He was raised to life and lifted up to heaven, becoming the Lord of the living (Rm14:9).

The Holy Spirit whom He sent
Lets them know where He is now (Jn14:5, 16:16-23) and
Lets them hear His command, “Follow Me.”

The disciples made by the Spirit is he who,
To follow the Lord to the air and to the Father’s house
When He comes a second time (Ac1:8-11),
Denies himself and takes up his cross (Mt16:24).
He goes to Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and to the ends of the earth, and
Finally becomes a witness of Jesus Christ (Ac1:8).

O Lord,
To the garden of Gethsemane, to the courtyard of Caiaphas, to the hill of Golgotha,
To the tomb and to Galilee…
I want to follow You to wherever You are!
Let me and all You have given me
Lay down whatever gets in the way of following You and
Follow You until the end! Amen.
