Those Who Preach the Good News

God is the God of revelation.
He reveals Himself in His way (Tit1:3) and
He saves those who believe according to His will (1Co1:21).

Faith is receiving His revelation through preaching (Ac15:7) and
The life of this faith is putting effort to save those who believe the foolishness of preaching (1Co1:21).

Since before the creation,
God planned to save men through Christ (Eph1:4-5):
Salvation by calling His name, which is by believing from hearing, which is through preaching,
Sent by the word of Christ (Rm10:9-15).

The gospel, that is, “God’s good news,” refers to
The Son of God Yeshua (Mk1:1; Rm1:1-2),
The Word in the beginning who is God came as man (Jn1:1-2, 14).
This is because sin entered all men by their ancestor Adam who was deceived and sinned (Ge3:4-6),
So all died (Rm5:12; 1Co15:22), destined to follow the devil to hell (Mt25:41) and
Only God could make the way.

The models of salvation in the Old Testament were:
The salvation from the deluge and Noah (He11:7; 2Pe2:5),
The exodus of Israel through Moses (Ex3:2-10, 4:5-16), and
The salvation of Nineveh from destruction through Jonah (Jnh1:1, 4:11).

By the word of the LORD delivered through the angel
The prophets were sent and by preaching they led the people to salvation.

The sanctuary where the name Jehovah and the stone tablets were
Reminded them of this and the Law of sin and death (Rm8:2) that
Led the Israelites like a guardian until the coming of the gospel (Gal3:23-25).

Yeshua said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days,” because
Through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body (Jn2:19-21),
He would save in the Father’s name Yeshua (Mt1:21; Jn5:43)
The souls of men from the prince of the world, from sin and death (Jn3:17, 12:47).

He proclaimed the good news of the kingdom (Mt4:23; Lk4:14-19), that is
The promise of eternal life to all who believe the Son (Jn3:16, 17:3) and
Knowing that He is the God who came as man (Mt16:16-17; Jn1:1, 14).
As such, He is greater than Moses and Jonah (Mt12:41).

As He died, He said, “It is finished” (Jn19:30), declaring that He:
1) Laid down His life according to the Father’s command fulfilling His will from before the creation (Jn10:18);
2) Judged the ruler of death (He2:14); and
3) Died with all men’s sin and redeemed them, and shed His blood to become the power of God to save those who believe (Mt20:28; Rm1:16-17).

He resurrected and ascended to the heavenly throne as
The Lamb who was slain (Is53:5; Rev5:6). the eternal gospel (Rev14:6).

The Holy Spirit came in the name Yeshua and built the church (Ac2:1-4) and
Sends out believers to do the work that Yeshua did, that is, to preach the good news (Ac1:8) for
The duty, the protection and the essence of the church is
Preaching the gospel of salvation and the work of saving souls (Eph1:13).

The preacher of the good news is
He who knows that by faith alone he became righteous before God (Rm1:17) so
Considers as grace to be entrusted with the gospel (1Th2:4) and
For the cross of Christ to not be emptied of its power (1Co1:17),
He is compelled to preach, for woe to him if not (1Co9:16), and becomes
A minister of Christ in the priestly duty of proclaiming the gospel for an offering of souls (Rm15:16).
He even suffers with the church for the sake of the gospel (Col1:24-28)
For he longs to share in its blessings (1Co9:23, 15:23; Rev20:4-6).

O Lord,
Like Jonah,
We have been attached to things that will soon dry up and burn up, and
We did not have the heart that cherishes souls.
Give us the heart of the Father —
The heart that cherishes souls! Amen.
