God Will Not Surpass the Word
(Jn1:1; Mt11:25-27)

God is the God of revelation.
He decided in the beginning to reveal Himself in His time according to His way.
He reveals Himself to those who received the revelation according to the Son’s desire (Mt11:27).

Faith is hearing the word of Christ and having the faith by revelation (Rm10:17; Eph3:3) and
The life of this faith is sustaining to obey according to the word of Christ.

The word (ho logos) is the self-revelation, the self-manifestation of God, which means that
It is not responding to human need or request
But rather the divine decision established in the beginning.

Religion — originates from man — the act of approaching the transcendent — upward;
Christianity — the faith by revelation — responding to the divine call and obeying — downward.

While the Word is God (Jn1:1), it is not the entirety of God; rather it is the face of God (Ps105:4).
It is carried through the words (he phone) of the prophets (Mt3:3), the disciples, the preachers and
When received in the born-again soul and rules over him
It becomes the applied word (to rhema) (He4:11).

The two stages of God’s revelation are:
Ge1:1 — the start of the natural revelation — the creation of time, space and materials by the word;
Jn1:1 — the beginning of the special revelation — the Word came in the flesh.

Deceived by the devil Adam sinned and was cast out of the Garden which then was
Shielded by a flaming sword for God covered His face from men (Ge3:24; Ps10:11).
When it was time God began to reveal Himself
To Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses (Ge18:1-2, 16, 22; Ex3:2, 4, 6).
The God who appeared in the name Jehovah was an angel (Ho12:4-5).

After the exodus of Israel, the sanctuary which they were instructed to build
Reminded them that, “Jehovah is the God who appeared to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob” and
To the prophets He appeared through the word of Jehovah (1Sa3:4).

Even so, however, they forgot Him and brought on their own destruction.
Thus, the endurance of Jerusalem gave them hope for
The Messiah was prophesied to appear before the Temple (Eze44:1-3).

But Yeshua said, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days,” because
Through the death and the resurrection of the temple of His body (Jn2:19-21),
Not in the name Jehovah but in the Father’s name Yeshua (Jn5:43),
Not an angel but the Son of God would reveal the Father (Jn14:7-9)
For seeing Him is seeing the Father for He and the Father are one (Jn10:30).

While to the disciples whom He wanted, called to be with Him (Mk3:13) He explained in details,
To the religious who considered themselves to be wise, He spoke in parables
Because He hid Himself from them (Mt13:10-25).

Finally when He died, the temple veil tore for
It was the complete revelation of God (Lk23:45; Jn19:30; He10:19-20) as He:
1) Followed the Father’s commandment and revealed what was hidden in eternity (Jn10:18; Rm16:25);
2) Judged the devil the separator (Is14:12-15; Ge3:4-6; 1Jn3:8); and
3) Let mankind believe the revelation of the mystery and obey (Rm16:26).

He resurrected and ascended to the heavenly throne.
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of revelation (Eph1:7) who came
To the believers who received the Word and received life (Jn1:4), and
Lets them know God and obey the word of Christ (Rm10:17).

Those who hear the word but do not understand (Mt13:19)
Fall to being religious and blind followers,
While some misunderstand about revelation, prophecies, visions etc (2Co12:1-4, 14:3) and
Relegate to becoming mystics.

He who received revelation according to Christ’s desire, however, is like a little child as
His heart is pure and simple, and he fears the Lord.
For he receives the message with great eagerness (Ac17:11) and
Keeps His commands,
The Lord loves him and reveals Himself to him (Jn14:21),
Opening his ears to understand the word (Mt13:23; Ac16:13-14).
The Christian starts with simple obedience, going from faith to faith.

O Lord,
For God has never and never will surpass the Word,
Open our ears to understand the Word and obey.
Let us become those whom the Lord loves and thus fully reveals Himself! Amen.
